Feb 20, 2025 - Four of us were outside the door at 6:10. We decided that one of us would stay outside with our tiny dog as there was a “no dog” sign. Many places allow small dogs, even Porto Cathedral and Michelin restaurants. But we always ask. If they’re strict with the policy that’s ok too. A female attendant came to the door and asked us if we were part of the group. I told her we were not, and asked her if dogs were allowed. She rudely said no, and said they were closed at 6pm. I said the website said 7pm. She said, not possible and shut the door in our faces. We were quite shocked. This is the rudest we’ve ever been treated anywhere!

I know that this is a very popular port wine, but no one in my party was impressed. The tasting room is large and impressive. Service was hard to come by however. We were the only ones there and we did quite a while for someone to come out of the woodwork and acknowledge us. Given that we had already had a lot of wine during our trip, I feel like we had a good sense of what was good and what was not, and this one was not impressive. .

Really pleasant inside space. We came not far before closing and they still accommodated us. They have I think 4 or 5 tasting menu options ranging from 20 to 50+ euros for 4-6 glasses. You can also get ports by the glass and some selection of snacks. While the atmosphere was pretty good, I was not a fan of any ports that we tried. It might be just a personal taste though, and I am sure others would appreciate them.

Nonexistent customer service. We have booked a dinner with wine tasting. Later it turned out that we wouldn't be able to come on the day we booked, so I left them a message on the number that was on the reservation asking if we could move the visit to another day. Nobody answered the message. The next day I called that number and was told to call another number. I called and the person said he didn't speak English and would ask his colleague to call. He never called. I then called their third number, where we were told to "google the right number because we don't handle tasting reservations". We...

We did some Porto tasting in town. Really enjoyed their "Terra Prima" organic port. It's a bit different than your usual port. Seems a bit lighter and fruitier. Perfect for some warm summer days. It's really a great port and we didn't wanna leave town without it.

So we came to this tasting room here, a bit hidden away in the back. The tasting room is very classy and stylish. Staff very friendly and helpful. We didn't spend much time, since we already knew what we needed and it was soon closing time. But surely a cellar / tasting room to...
