update 2025 Our one-week ski trip in Kazakhstan, organized by Marius, had everything we could ask for—lots of laughter, exotic cuisine, daily sauna sessions, and powder snow stretching as far as the eye could see. Marius took care of all the details, so we could simply enjoy the adventure without a worry.

update 2023 I recently completed a 3-day avalanche safety course in the Bucegi mountains with mountain guides Marius and Heea from Massif Experience, and it was an exceptional experience. The course covered a comprehensive range of topics, including practical skills like using Fatmap for navigation, understanding slope exposure and gradient, reading weather forecasts, trip planning, and seeking alternative plans beforehand.

Marius and Heea taught us how the use the avalanche safety equipment, such as beacons, probes, and shovels. They seamlessly integrated theoretical knowledge with hands-on practice such as the surprise avalansche rescue exercises, emphasizing the importance of team organization during a search and rescue mission.

The depth of understanding they provided on snow layering, weak layers, and avalanche types was impressive. Marius and Heea's commitment to safety was evident throughout, and the emphasis on debriefing the tour added a reflective layer to the learning process.

I took part in an excellent ski-tour organized by Marius in the Bucegi mountains - Malaiesti couloir - in spring 2020.

Marius took good on-site decisions, regarding the weather and conditions so that everything went smoothly - which I appreciate a lot.

Moreover, I was impressed by the variety of activities that he organizes: Skitouring, Splitboarding, Trailbiking, Canoeing.

Unforgettable E-Bike adventure with massif experience. Exploring the Brasov mountain area by e-bike was an absolutely outstanding experience! In the beginning we didn't realized what kind of experience we booked, because we wanted to cycle around but didn't thought can bring so much adrenaline and joy! Passed few days but we still feel the happiness and excitement from the tour we got!:) The combination of breathtaking scenery and trails, also the extra boost from the e-bike made it possible to cover more ground and truly appreciate the beauty of this region. Our guide was Ciprian, an excellent experienced guide, well prepared that knew exactly what trail difficulty to offer us. He knew very well all area around and also gave us tips how to cycle better difficult trails, which worked perfectly for beginners like us! If you book a tour with Cirpian,you are in most safe hands! We saw stunning panoramic views of rolling hills, dense forests picturesque valleys, again with a fresh mountain air! Ciprian was perfect for guiding and assisting in the steep climbs without feeling exhausted, leaving plenty of energy to enjoy the surroundings and stop for photos. Whether you’re an experienced cyclist or a casual rider, e-biking with Massif experience is an excellent choice. We covered easy,medium trails and never felt any difficulty in that. Massif experience is a well prepared team, have excellent e-bikes with bosch engine, which gave me the feeling of being a pro e-cyclist. We have taken a two-day bike tour with Marius and we couldn't have been happier.

Marius is very knowledgeable about the region and gave us very good pointers along the way. He was a pleasure to talk with during the breaks on various subjects, from Romanian culture and history to biking and other outdoor sports.

Both my husband and I had no prior mountain biking experience but Marius was willing to make adjustments, never losing the positive attitude and cheering us up along the way. He gave us many tips that we found useful even for casual road bikers like us.

On our ride we enjoyed breathtaking views of the valleys and forests and visited fortified churches, including the ones off the beaten path which Marius arranged to be unlocked for viewing just for us.

We stayed in a guesthouse which was a renovated old homestead where the room and amenities were clean and comfortable and provided a great rest. The food prepared from local ingredients was excellent.

Overall an amazing experience, much better than we'd expected. We will certainly recommend Marius as a guide and a biking instructor to all our friends.
