It was in the center of Kazan, not far from the old Kremlin walls, where the Ministry of Agriculture stood. I walked there one evening. The light was low and the air sharp. The building looked too new against the old streets, but it carried weight all the same. A monument to fields and to the people who work them. They called it one of the city’s modern landmarks. You could believe it. Agriculture and innovation carved into stone and steel, standing like a promise.

A great building, white stone with a bronze tree set deep in its heart. They said it housed the Ministry of Agriculture and Food, the Directorate of Veterinary Medicine, the Agro-Industrial Center. All the offices of the land that kept the earth turning and the animals alive.

Красивое здание, хорошо СУПЕР для прогулок парк и прилегающая набережная, интересное цветовое оформление в вечернее. История Монументальное сооружение носит название Дворца земледельцев потому, что является офисом Министерства сельского хозяйства и продовольствия. Здание определенно заслуживает того, чтобы называться одной из самых известных и популярных достопримечательностей города. Строительство было начато в 2008 году и велось два года, на это было потрачено 2,2 миллиарда рублей. Проектированием занимался архитектор Леонид Горняк, строительство велось компанией «Антика-плюс». Перед архитектором стояла задача органично вписать строение в архитектуру исторического центра города. Строение должно было гармонировать с Казанским Кремлем. Для решения задачи было принято использовать стиль классицизма и архитектурные решения XIX века. Чтобы здание не перетягивало внимание с Кремля, его высоту ограничили 4 этажами. Пиковая точка дворца имеет высоту 48 метров. Архитектура Благодаря своему неординарному экстерьеру здание является уникальным на территории всей России. В архитектурном стиле заимствованы элементы ампира и классицизма, поэтому здание можно отнести к стилю боз-ар, или эклектическому стилю. Здание состоит из двух симметричных блоков и купола. В центре композиции – изюминка сооружения - дерево из бронзы, расположенное внутри арки. Высота дерева – 20 метров. Несмотря на то, что дерево символизирует плодородие и процветание казанских земель, листья отсутствуют. Еще одна важная деталь – центральный купол. Сам купол классической формы, но спиральная решетка на его поверхности перекликается с архитектурными традициями восточных культур.
