Petrodvorets — Attraction in Peterhof

I recently visited Petrodvorets at Peterhof, Russia, for the second time—my first visit was 52 years ago. This place continues to amaze and captivate with its grandeur and beauty. It is a beautiful place, but there are a few things that I couldn't know before I got there. Prices are 600 rubles for the main category of guests. Offline only. That's why 4 stars. Two sessions of selling tickets — 10:30-12:30 and 14:30-16:30. In the summer they are starting to sell before that time. I came here at 13:50 and this is in progress. Be prepared for a long queue for the checkout. I was waiting for 40-50 mins. Inside the Petrodvorets you won't be allowed to freely walk in the museum. Group excursions only. And I don't like it. Whole toure took around 50 minutes, but the guide at the end was rushing to the exit, idk why. In conclusion I do really like the place but this tour ruined the whole experience. Заметил интересную закономерность - чем лучше состояние восстанавливаемого дворца, тем ниже качество экскурсий. Сегодня видна титаническая работа реставраторов. Проведена и, надеюсь, будет проводиться в дальнейшем сложная, профессиональная работа специалистов. Но... При полном великолепии дворовых интерьеров, очень слабое качество проводимых экскурсий. Бешеная скорость прогона посетителей сквозь залы дворца (невозможно рассмотреть уникальные экспонаты), ужасная дикция экскурсоводов (научить этому несложно), фантастически безграмотное содержание (ну дайте возможность составлять тексты настоящим профессионалам, а может их уже не осталось). Дворец становится все великолепнее, организация работы с посетителями, содержание экскурсий и цены очень и очень далеки от разумного состояния.
