Sabhyata Dwar is located near the Ganga river bank. It is situated besides the Gyan Bhawan at Gandhi Maidan. It's a beautiful, calm place with a huge Gate structure (like India gate) and architecture of historic India. This is dedicated to the culture of Bihar and it's people. Best thing is it's free for visit and photography. Families friends etc can go there and spend fair time with lush green garden compound and serene view of Ganga. The Sabhyata Dwar is built on an area of one acre within the campus of Samrat Ashok International Convention Centre, north of Gandhi Maidan.[5] At 32 metres (105 ft) high the structure is taller than Gateway of India (26 metres (85 ft)) and Golghar (29 metres (95 ft)). The Dwar faces Ganga on its northern side. It consists of two arches built with Mauryan architecture with a smaller arch on either side. The structure is constructed from red and white sandstones. Atop the arch monument is a small stupa upon which rests Ashoka's four-sided lion capital made from alloyed metal. The northern and southern faces of the arches contain inscriptions attributed to Megasthenes, Ashoka, Buddha and Mahavira. One can easily reach here via bus, auto or cabs.

Disappointing Experience at Sabhyata Dwar Patna Sabhyata Dwar Patna, a historic monument, has devolved into a "Chapri" spot, where people flock to create reels, disregarding the site's cultural significance. This has transformed the area into an unsuitable location for families to visit. Concerns: - Reel-making chaos: The constant commotion disrupts the peaceful atmosphere, making it challenging to appreciate the monument's historical value. - Lack of respect: Visitors prioritize social media content over preserving the site's dignity. - Government inaction: Authorities should address this issue, either by implementing measures to restrict reel-making or introducing a charge for commercial content creation. Suggestions: - Designate specific areas for reel-making, ensuring minimal disruption to visitors. - Increase awareness about respecting historical sites. - Encourage responsible behavior among visitors. Rating: 2/5 (due to the current state, not reflecting the monument's true potential) Let's hope the government takes necessary steps to restore Sabhyata Dwar Patna's original charm, making it an enjoyable experience for all visitors.

Sabhyata Dwar is a beautiful monument in Patna, Bihar, that celebrates the ancient civilization and culture of the state. It is a sandstone arch with Mauryan-style architecture and inscriptions from various historical sources. It is located on the banks of the River Ganga, near the Samrat Ashok International Convention Centre. You can visit Sabhyata Dwar from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm on any day of the week. It is a popular tourist attraction and a symbol of pride for the people of Bihar. The history of Sabhyata Dwar is quite interesting. It is a monument that was inspired by the former Jammu and Kashmir Governor, retired Lieutenant General Srinivas Kumar Sinha, who suggested the idea of building a gate to showcase the ancient civilization and culture of Bihar in 2010. The construction of the monument started in 2016 and was completed in 2018. It was inaugurated by the current Chief Minister of Bihar, Nitish Kumar, on 21 May 2018.

A not to be missed tourist place in patna. Inaugurated in 2018...this grand architecture find its relation to the ancient historical era of king Ashoka and his capital patliputra. Well decorated garden surrounds it with walkways facilitated with spacious and comfortable seating. Slow and soothing instrumental music playing continuously adds to its glory. Located on the bank of holy river ganga makes its historical significance more lively. Light whistling breeze from the river front gives a way to attain mental tranquillity in the heart of this crowdy capital city. A place totally free from all kinds of pollution makes one's presence pleasurable. An example of modern architecture and beauty assimilated together has got something for all age group of people. Out of cost entry attracts hundreds of visitors every day.

The best thing about this place is that It is free of cost and recently build. I think, I am not sounding as a freebie lover! But actually the free entry for this place is one of the thing I would appreciate, because here in Patna you have to pay entry fee for many parks. Anyways, Sabhyata Dwar is 34 meters tall gate made near Gandhi maidan to depict the ancient glory of Magadh. Several captions from historians are mentioned on the wall and the slow sweet music around the gates from JBL speakers made this place look and sound more serene. The best part of this place that I felt while being there is looking at the four lions mounted on the top of the gate that gives it a gigantic look. I loved the birds swooping in the blue sky above the gate beside river Gange.
