So, disclaimer* we had 2 free adult tickets, only paid for our 3 kids (€40?). That being said, we thoroughly enjoyed our time here, but we did walk through the whole thing in under an hour. Now, our kids do tend to run to each exhibit as fast as the next (excitement). It really is what you make it, if we had spent over €70 for our family of 5, we may have lingered longer. It does seem a bit pricey for the size and exhibits, but, we have been to many aquariums and this (in our opinion) was one of the neatest atmospheres! The whole aquarium is just one big exciting exhibit in itself. Our kids absolutely loved it and we thoroughly enjoyed watching them! Also, many people commented regarding the food. We didn't eat but did look at the menu, we thought the prices were reasonable. However, we didn't eat, maybe the foods not good lol. We had a good time, it wasn't crowded at all, and the balcony where you can sit and eat if you wanted had lovely views! *side note* You should update your website for ticket purchases. When entering the billing address for cc info, there is no option for the US or even the UK. I was unable to purchase tickets online because of this. Just a recommendation if that can be fixed!

Daniel

I am rathe torn about our visit to this aquarium. We got free admission as part of "Pfalz Card" and as such, we cannot complain about our visits having been too expensive. However without the free admission, it would have been €50 for two adults and two children and we stayed only about 1 hour. There just wasn't more to see. The while space is rather small, the exhibits are well maintained and allow a good view of the fish and the various species on display. While there was plenty of marketing messaging for LEGO and Seal-Life, information panels about animals didn't have a lot of information to offer and sometimes weren't bilingual. If you don't mind the expense, the short duration or your children are really into sea-life (pun intended) then you'll enjoy it. Look for a deal online to save a few Euro, even if that means standing outside and book online quickly before going in ;)

Sea life Speyer is a great place to come with the family. It's even more easy while the German 9 euro travel ticket is on. While the building is relatively small, it isn't too expensive and will easily keep any fish living kids amused for an hour or two. The exhibitions are displayed with German and English info. There are not many big fish but there are some cool exhibits like the large tank with shark, tuna and a sea turtle and the coral tank. I wish the building and exhibits were of the same scale and exoticness as the address life center Birmingham, but my son didn't care and had fun from start to finish. Oh and even though we went on a Saturday or was not crowded and the cafeteria on the second floor was not expensive which is also a bonus.

We went here on a rainy day so -oh surprise - there was a long queue outside. The building is quite small, we noticed, there's just the different aquaria and a small cafe. Once inside, it's basically a walkway along several large and small basins, along a tunnel-below-the-sea below the sharks and ending up near a static fish tank and gift shop. It's a fun place to go on a rainy day but not spectacular. Also, there is only one toilet location *so make sure your kids go to the bathroom before you start the tour*! Backtracking along the route, against traffic, with a child that needs to pee is NOT fun. We spent about two hours here. It was fun to see once but we probably won't be back.

Fortunately I read several reviews before we visited today so I knew our visit would only be about an hour and wasn't expecting a gigantic aquarium. I loved it though. The floor was clearly marked throughout so that it was clear how far apart groups should be. A disinfectant station was available at the entrance and exit as well as a sink just before the gift shop. Overall, my worries about being out during the time of Corona were calmed, and I felt good about threw precautions taken there. In general, there were lots of interesting sea creatures and coral to see so that my family and I alll had a fun experience!
