If I could give it zero stars I would. We wanted to see four museums for €7.50 pp but the person we spoke who worked at the museum promised us it would be way better to visit all the museums (9) for €15 pp. So we did. We saw two museums and and barely intact room without lights wirh about five photographs on the wall. Wirh all the other ones, the people who were supposed to be working and supposed to keep the museums apparently had disappeared and weren’t there. We went back to the reception to get our money back and the guy said he already “registered the money” (which just means he sent it to someone else that he refused to call back). Absolutely a waste of time and money. Everything is fallen apart and most of it isn’t open. Do...
Read moreThis was such a cool experience and a really special way of exploring the island. It's not totally straightforward but we managed to figure it out. The museum is set across a series of beautifully restored buildings (the entrance is worth it to see these alone) and encompasses photography, history, music and more. Lots to see even for those who aren't that into photography.
I should mention that we went in the mid-afternoon and a couple of the buildings were really hot - a morning visit might be a bit calmer!
Special shoutout to the man at the building right by the water who so kindly took us through all of the different rooms, talking us through the sculptures on display. And also to Anushka who told us more about the vision for the project. A real highlight...
