This amazing complex is an absolute gem of architecture that any self-respecting Belgrade aficionado needs to have visited at least once in their lifetime. It is the badge of glory from the Tito times, a modernist crown of the great Yugoslavia plans for the future, and, undoubtedly still holds the spirit of utopian futurism that the late 70s had. Try to ignore the general state of derelict it is in, the city is not known for appreciating its historical landmarks. Of the notable (still functional) facilities, it offers a ghost shopping mall alongside maybe a handful of boutiques that still somehow work, a cinema, nearly twenty conference halls, several exhibition spaces (would even claim that the main interior of the mall also counts among them due to several sculptures by notable sculptors remain displayed there), event garden, utility services such as the post office and many more. You will notice that a lot of so-called upper class domestic musical performers choose this location for their concerts. Even at this day of, mildly-put, heavy financial stress of the center, it remains seen as a prestigious location to prance in. If you're a tourist, you might not regret just popping in and taking a look at what's inside.
