Several reasons for 3 star. I sat in the first row of a balcony.
Carpet under the balcony rail/edge was in desperate need of vacuuming, as well as the seats.
The seats - You could see the garment fibers of previous audience.
The balcony rail/edge is too low so putting down the seat and sitting safely not really possible. Don't know how men sit there or bigger size women. Just not enough space between the open seat and an edge.
The sound - during the concert (Carl Orff Carmina Burana) at least 4 times cracking could be heard, which for this renovated venue, shouldn't happen.
Parking - the biggest problem by far. Not even remotely enough space for the venue visitors. No side walks for pedestrians, no street lights to at least assist while walking, so good luck finding the parking spot and walking to/from your car. People were eventually parking their vehicles on the grass, which is a shame. I think the parking problem also caused fair number of spectators to arrive late, hence the late start of the concert.
Good points - staff working at the wardrobe were supper polite and promptly picked/handed the jackets. Toilets were clean, although the design of the space caused queue in the ladies loo, due to the fact that one side of compartments were not visible and remained vacant, while the queue was spreading outside of the...

Read moreVery cool piece of 1970s architecture and a great venue. Shame that the main hall is acoustically dead and that the people doing sound here don't appear to know how to compensate for it. I've been to quite a few concerts in here over the years and the sound was always terrible but... I just love the space so I keep coming back. What is there to love? All the glass, the exposed pipes, the vast cavernous expanses of carpeded halls, endless corridors and, of course, the lifts (elevators) with minds of their own. IMNHO Sava centre is the closest you will get to recreating the experience of walking through Rama (form Rendezvous with...
