Statue of Josip Broz Tito — Attraction in City of Belgrade

It would be a sin if the Serbian politicians and government go and destroy this magnificent Museum and build a shopping mall complex like they say on TV... Serbia's yearly cultural budget is bellow 1% and our culture is dissappearing.

We have to respect each other and our history if we ought to make peace in Serbia and Balkans. Destroying history of Yugoslavia is like when Ottomans destroyed history of Serbia. Barbaric act. We ought to honor both communists, monarhists, partisans and četniks if we seek good to come to our lands.

A lot of our ancestors died in homeland wars and the pain is big even today. I invite you to pray for all of us so we heal, repent and forgive eachother 🙏❤️ Blessings...

The approach of showing batons, the messages they carried, and the relay itself as a symbol of joint effort and communication was interesting. The timeline on Yugoslavian political life running from the first baton relay in 1945 to the last in 1987 was effective. I don't read Serbo-Croatian and so was limited to the English text, which I thought nicely done in its summarizing of important events in 40 years of Yugoslavian history, especially the Non-Aligned Movement.
