Merak Balkan Cuisine — Restaurant in City of Belgrade

As Dutch visitors traveling through Serbia, we had the pleasure of dining at this wonderful restaurant – and what an experience it was!

From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and incredibly well taken care of. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel at home, offering friendly service with genuine hospitality. Not being familiar with all the local dishes, we asked for recommendations – and we’re so glad we did! Every suggestion from the staff was absolutely spot on. From starters to desserts, each dish was full of flavor and beautifully prepared.

We enjoyed delicious food and drinks, and were pleasantly surprised by the very reasonable prices. The quality-to-price ratio is simply outstanding. You can really taste the care and tradition behind the food.

If you’re in Serbia and looking for an authentic culinary experience, this place is a must-visit. We left with full stomachs and big smiles – we’ll definitely come back when we’re in...

Food is very good and tasty, but portions are very small. Service is terrible. There was 8 of us and we didn't get food at same time. Some of us almost finished eating, when the others still wait for food. Also, many dishes from menu were not available! Worst of all service, the waiter forget to bring some orders, we had to ask several times for ordered items. He brought wrong drinks as well. And most of all terrible things was, that he was not kind and we had to call him over and over again, just to get something (even for the bill). Total impression: not for recommendation, in spite...

Somehow I came out very disappointed...we had a dinner, I was expecting proper domestic food but we got average pljeskavica like on street food, which is not that bad, sausage were ok, but nothing special, and lamb from "sač" with potatoes from yesterday, nicely warmth.... seriously don't know how is it possible making such simple food in such a bad way and to present yourself as a magnificent domestic restaurant...Serbian food is something that we are proud of it, and this was far away...the good thing about the restaurant it's location and...
