Shipwreck Rapids — Attraction in San Diego

I love this FUN, FAMILY FRIENDLY ride! Some reviews are about how soaking you get but I mean it is a water ride so it’s your choice! Plus on a sunny day it is really fun!! It’s definitely a go to with a large group and for families!! Aside from that there are cannons nearby spectators can pay to spray water to those on the ride! (I was once soaked with me and my friend with all of the cannons 😂)

But the reason I have a 4 star rating is because the line can be really long about an hour and a half long on an average day like the week BUT on the weekends it can at least be two hours. Also not only that but employees there for the ride can be really rude and put you under a lot of pressure to be fast to get on. As much as I understand how long the lines are I don’t think you have to be rude.

After all of this if you are here and you don’t know where else to go it definitely is a must do! Thanks...

Absolutely worst experience ever. The people running this ride couldn’t function any slower. This ruined the entire park experience after waiting in line for over 2 and a half hours. They’d just load one raft at a time while they had six more they could use in the que. I’ve been in Texas and this would never happen. It was horrible and we won’t be doing a single other ride after this experience....

The ride is fun and all, but it isn't worth waiting for. I heard a family had to wait 2 hours to ride. There was one time a worker was putting two per boat. It was like a 5 minute wait. It's really fun to shoot people on the ride. The Shipwreck Café had very long wait. Most of the time, only one line is open, so it takes about 20 minutes...
