The prices are absolutely insane. I understand that it’s the biggest ski resort in this part of Europe but 60 euros PER DAY (but EXCLUDING MORNING AND EVENING SKIING XD) for the resort that indeed has some nice gondolas but also lifts that were probably built in 80s.
The sickest part is the parking, it’s super messy and badly organized, it does not look like a proper parking lot but most of those are some wild places next to some super old hotels. You go there and expect that each of the official parking spots will be large and easy to find but it’s the opposite. Some of those are tiny. EVERY SINGLE PARKING* COSTS 20 EURO and you have time until 17:30. Sick…
There is one large free parking place, I recommend using that one and using one of the free ski busses - it takes around 10 mins to the main station.
Another huge scam is the price of the lift for non skiers. The return ticket is 33 Euro 😅 just to go to the top and back with thousands of skiers. So if you want to see the views from the top with a friend you probably have to pay around a 100 euro for this 1-2 hrs experience.
The slopes are mostly well prepared - a bit icy but that’s way better than moguls! Lots of slopes, most of them open (depending on the weather).
If you are coming from abroad make sure to take some euros in cash, cause Euronet ATMs charge 5 euro no matter the amount and some of the restaurants on the slopes don’t accept credit cards.
Once we found a phone on the slope and we had no time to find the owner ourselves so we gave it to the lift worker at Zahradky B2. He asked us what he’s supposed to do with it. We said that hopefully the owner will be asking if it was found. He took and put it on „ski pass gates” before we took off. Someone could easily grab it...
Read moreGenerally this is one of the few starting points on your way to Chopok - highest peak in Lower Tatras. We use to visit Jasna regularly in last couple of years and this cable lift was always more of a bottle neck on your way up to higher parts of the mountain. Doesn’t matter, whether you skiing or hiking. You mostly can get stuck here for longer than acceptable time. Good news for everybody is that there is a new gondola lift planned (Petra Vlhová (Biela púť-Priehyba)) which should massively relieve this cable way and run ‘twinliner - lienka’ way to Priehyba obsolete and with higher capacity of this track will probably resolve this issue for years to come. Until than - stay calm and good luck not hitting the...
