Hotel Björnson Jasná & Björnson Tree Houses — Hotel in Demänovská Dolina

I would like to point out that the management on this hotel is poorly instructed and lack some core skills.

First of all the requirement to speak fluent english should be a given (not the case, I did not specialized myself in mimics, guess many others didn't either).

Second they got real greedy! Use manipulative scams to sell us experiences which do not fulfill the advertised goods.

People working at the desk and managing are very unethical and to put it in proper English useless.

(My story goes as follows, the gondolas next to the hotel should take us to the top, and the hotel sells tickets for it at a discount, they advertise it as pay one, get one for free but it's just a small discount. We wanted to take the bicycles on the gondola up as we saw them advertising on the room tv and brochures, and before buying the ticket we specifically asked if it was possible to take them up in the gondola. Turns out the staff "didn't know" it and upon arrival to the gondola we were blocked. Turns out they don't let bikes up since 7 years ago. That is a very long time to have miscommunication from both sides I would say. We went back and asked for a refund on our tab, which would be the most sensible thing to be done but of course they refused and didn't even give us a token of good will.)

Plenty of room for improvement from this facility, specially on the ethical business to consumer side. Service needs some shaking up, as their frustrating attitude to be working behind a desk is visible from...

Our (highly positive) impression from Hotel Bjornson is due to the following: We had reserved rooms with the flexible policy. We had booked directly through their website and paid in advance. Eventually our dates of travel changed and we had to cancel the rooms. Within days we received our money back. So despite not sleeping there, they did turn out to be very reliable and trustworthy (An important consideration when choosing your place). Eventually, we did reach their place in Jasna but only for a single afternoon, in which we ate at the restaurant while the kids were having fun at their slides, waiting for the food to be served. From these perspective I must also compliment their business: the food is highly delicious. Some dishes are quite unique, and it is evident they use fresh ingredients and feels of high quality food. In the meanwhile, like I said, our children were having a really good time in their yard. Other people were hanging around their paths embedded in the middle of the forest, while other kids were playing, and adults were using their pool (Seen from the restaurant balcony). The whole place was full of extremely good vibes. And also thanks to the pleasant weather that helped. Our experience at Björnson Jasná & Björnson Tree Houses was nothing short of exceptional. The location is breathtaking, nestled right by the slopes and surrounded by the beauty of nature, making it a perfect retreat for both skiers and hikers. The accommodation was spotless and cozy, especially in the Tree Houses, which offered stunning views and a peaceful, private atmosphere.

The food was excellent with a wide variety of options for breakfast and dinner. We particularly enjoyed the rich selection, although more local and vegetarian options would have been a nice addition. The wellness facilities were a fantastic bonus, offering a relaxing way to end the day after exploring the mountains. While the sauna area can get a bit crowded, the overall experience was still very positive.

Lastly, the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, always making sure we had everything we needed. Their professionalism and welcoming attitude truly enhanced our stay.
