We visited this hotel during the summer season. The hotel is surrounded by beautiful nature and it is located in the Damänovská valley, near to a lake Vrbické pleso. We booked a room for four days and decided to spend our time in the mountains. Climbing to the peaks Chopok, Ďumbier, and Dereše. The hotel has a large parking lot. So, you do not need to be worried about finding a place if you arrive in the evening. The lobby and reception are very pleasant and clean. The staff was nice, willing to do everything to your satisfaction. The rooms were renovated to a modern style, clean, but a lit bit small. For my wonder, we had a double bed in the room, but the mattresses were single, which I see as a negative experience. The staff in a lobby bar was kind and very communicative. We ended our day with a good drink after dinner. The food was delicious. We had a half board included. Breakfast and dinner were served in a continental form. Especially, there was a possibility to choose from cooked or continental breakfast, from many sweats and salty dishes, various kinds of drinks, juices, teas or coffees. For a dinner, there was a possibility to choose from two soups and four kinds of dishes, one of them was an especially vegetarian version, salads, and desserts. I love sweats and in my opinion, the desserts were not very tasty. We had free entry to a wellness center for 3 hours every day during our stay. The wellness center was rich in saunas, pools, and jacuzzi. It was divided into internal and external parts. Especially I would like to thank Marek, a man, who was responsible for sauna rituals. They were like balsam after a long day in the mountains. It was a great relaxation. We got full-day tickets for the cabin cars for free and in the next few days, we could buy the ticket for a discounted price. All things considered, I would recommend this place. It is worth it.

During our stay at the Grand Jasná Hotel, we had the privilege of meeting the receptionist Miroslav, who truly made our stay unforgettable. He greeted us upon arrival with a sincere smile and a professional approach that immediately created a pleasant atmosphere. Miroslav willingly provided us with all the necessary information about the hotel, services and options in the area. He was prompt, empathetic and always tried to find the best solution for every question or request. His knowledge of the local area and recommendations for activities in the Tatras were invaluable. We would like to express our great satisfaction and gratitude for the wonderful, funny and very pleasant approach of the bartenders – Milan, Marek and Stanko. The whole team seemed extremely professional, and their willingness and positive attitude made every moment more pleasant for us. We would like to especially highlight Marek, who willingly helped us with a non-standard request – to get ordinary matches. He showed great willingness and commitment when he made the effort and personally brought them to our room. This expression of care and attention is something we will remember for a long time. Thank you to the whole team for an exceptional experience and great care. We highly recommend!

Very friendly staff and good service. Rooms are clean but I would say little bit expensive out of sky session. Bathroom has been very clean with shower gel, head shower hat, towels and everything you need. Food in the restaurant is amazing and very tasty but small portions. All drinks and food is very expensive, you can get the same beer or food 30-40% cheaper in restaurants out of the hotel. This hotel have cold feeling inside and I don't like how is it designed inside. Hotel is very boring and I missing something there. They should redesigned interior to look more bright. If you want to use fitness in the hotel there is one small room with some fitness equipments but that only for non gym or fitness people. There's not enough equipments or weight. I don't understand from where this hotel get 4*... For the money you will spend here this is not enough what you will get here. There's no air con which is big issue during summer. No fun in the hotel not any evening events just old people and seniors. Overpriced for this region.

The name Grand Hotel Jasná is misleading because there is absolutely nothing grand about it. Our experience was underwhelming from start to finish, and for the price we paid, it was simply unacceptable.||Let’s start with the ski lockers—unbelievably small. They barely fit the gear for two people, so for a family of five like ours, it was a daily struggle. When we asked for a second locker, the receptionist acted as if we were asking for a huge favor, clearly annoyed at the request. For a ski hotel, proper storage should be a basic service, not something guests have to beg for.||The hotel’s service issues didn’t stop there. When we asked for additional key cards so that each family member could have one, the receptionist simply said, "We don’t have many," as if a four-star hotel shouldn’t be expected to have enough key cards for its guests. It’s a small detail, but it perfectly reflects the overall poor service and lack of professionalism.||Then there’s the food. Breakfast is the same, every single morning. No variety, no creativity—just the same uninspired selection day after day. And it’s not just that it’s repetitive; the quality itself is poor. Dinner is no better, making the restaurant feel like a budget buffet rather than something from a four-star hotel.||The rooms were another major letdown. We stayed in a duplex apartment, supposedly a more spacious option, yet it still felt cramped for our family of five. The design is dark and uninviting, and for what we paid, the lack of space was shocking. If this is what they call an apartment, I don’t even want to imagine what a standard room feels like.||On top of that, parking was a nightmare. Despite it being clearly stated that parking was included in the price, actually finding a spot was almost impossible. We had to drive around searching, and when we finally managed to park, it felt more like luck than a guaranteed amenity.||To make matters worse, the hotel seems to find every possible way to charge extra for basic things that should be included. Even a simple teabag in the room comes with a price tag—in euros, not just a few cents. It’s absurd.||This hotel does not deserve four stars. Either they improve—starting with better breakfasts, proper parking availability, and more reasonable pricing—or they should drop their rates significantly. In short: very bad experience. The experience is not based on big expectations as it is 4* hotel but simply on the standards that you expect when stay in European hotel.

We booked deluxe double room. Firstly, it was written that parking is free and no need reservation. We came, there was no free parking place. It’s fine, it happens.

Came to the room the first look was ok but when entered the room there was another door just in front of the bed. The door was locked. Someone was knocking them, it got a bit strange. We went down and the receptionist said it is connected rooms... no one informed us. It is really strange feeling when you are at the hotel and your room has doors to another room. But anyway, it’s possible to ignore.

As it is summer, it is quite hot so tried to open the window and found some “surprise” (hygiene paths...) from previous guests. It could be seen that the handles were not cleaned either.

After long trip, wanted to have a tea in the room but there was no kettle. We asked for it. Yes, they brought us, but only the kettle :) no single cup...

Tried to connect but there was no WiFi in the room.

Next morning, during the breakfast a lot of people. Impossible to keep 1m distance. Tables are not cleaned after they are used by other guests (take in mind it is corona time)...

The hotel provides cable car pass for special price. Accordingly, before hiking we went to reception to get one. We were standing at the reception 45 minutes (no more no less and it is not the queueing time). The lady at the reception was trying to register and get the pass for us. We needed to fill short questionnaire which we did in a minute. After a failure to register the pass the receptionist literally tried 10 times the same way. Only after 40 minutes she asked if we have another email (we were two of us, so of course we have at least 2 emails)... no even single sorry for waiting that long.

In general, it is very hard to find good things about this hotel after such a row of failures... it really seems that the management of the hotel is very bad. The hotel don’t care about the guests not about its...
