Amazing view, it's a worth visiting while you are in slovenia. The old Napoleon Bridge with a single made of stone was built in 1750. Napoleon's troops marched across it on the way to Predel Pass, hence its name. During World War I, it was blown up by Austrian soldiers, and later the Italians built a wooden and then an iron bridge. During World War II, the Partisans defended the Kobarid Republic here, and in memory of these events, two monuments have been placed...

A Napóleon-híd mai formájában 1750-ben épült, amikor a császári csapatok vonultak át rajta. A híd mellett két műemlék őrzi a háborús időszakok emlékét.

There is a parking place 100m away, or if you are quick just to take a few pictures you can stop the car at the street border. From the bridge there is a nice view of the canion and river with the mountines in the background. Ok if you are passing by, maybe not really worth to make a longer detour from your jurney. Check the photos and decide...

Living life on the edge. 🔥 This was taken at the Napoleon Bridge, a historical landmark in Slovenia that connects the left and right banks of the Soča River. The area was an important battleground during the First World War, and is a notable tourist attraction today due to its magnificent scenery. 🇸🇮 From 1-10, what would you rate this flip? 🚀 📽 @adrenaline.addiction 📍 Napoleon Bridge, Slovenia ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ ⬇Follow @artofdestinations & Use Our Hashtag For A Chance To Get Featured ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖
