Staying here a month to get as many penguin moments as possible. :) The beach stairs and surrounds are under construction and they could use much better signs for the penguins. They do have a roped off area, but when they cross over it, I've seen people (adults and children) chase them. As a conservationist and lover of animals, chasing endangered animals is not good. They should have signs in many launguages explaining what good and respectful behavior is around the penguins so we can all to a better job of protecting them. Read moreIf you don’t walk and are unaware of it in the first place, you’ll probably miss this beach because the main road sits quite high up and completely overlooks the beach and the complex above it.
The beach is beautiful and has a presence of many birds besides the main attraction, the African Penguin. You can also see cranes and other marine birds frolicking in the shallow waters.
There is a popular restaurant right next to the beach that is a must visit as well as many other small little sit downs in the vicinity.
