Stopped here for lunch where we asked whether to order at the counter and the 'waiter' didn't seem sure so took our order.
My partner order a rooibos ice tea but received normal hot rooibos tea. I ordered their homemade lemonade which only came after my meal; when it did finally arrive, it did not taste like homemade lemonade but rather the powdered stuff that you mix up.
Chicken salad was lovely with big chunks of feta as well as came with olives. My partner ordered a cheese and bacon sandwich which only came about half way through me eating my salad. Their sandwiches were average at best but there was one guy working there stating to potential customers that they were the best sandwiches.
When it came time for the bill, I asked our "waiter" for the bill which it never came. I eventually went up to the counter to ask for the bill where I had to let them know what I had ordered because they didn't have a clue. Considering the price for 2 drinks, 2 relatively simple lunches and 2 magnums, the bill came to over R200; definitely not value for money

Read moreThis is a cafe with the local Simon's Town charm. In the heart of the town, it is a bustling hive of activity from the tourists and locals alike. The food is phenominal (especially the baked goods). The views are some of Cape Town's best. It's just a stones throw away from the famous Boulder's Beach, so would make a good stop before or after seeing the penguins. Make this one of your stops if you ever find yourself enjoying a day out in...

The service is very slow and they must have a limited kitchen, because half the food came much later, like some had almost finished by the time all the food arrived. This was with only a few tables. If not for that would have been 5 stars the view is also very pretty, and so close...
