Fantastic day out with my 8 year old daughter. We arrived in the morning just before 10:30. As you go into the aquarium there are many different tanks of fish and sea creatures. These areas were very crowded with a lot of people but all had face masks on and had to sanitise hands on entry. We then went to the dolphin show at 11 which was excellent. The trainers have a magical bond with the dolphins and you can see they are well looked after and happy here. The show was beautiful and mesmerising. I was alsu educational about the dolphins and also their habitat and the importance of looking after each other regardless of who or what you are. After this we went out of the park to get lunch. As there was a long queue oe people going into the water park, we opted for snorkeling with fish in a lagoon. How calming and excellent.. Floating at peace with the fish is absolutely brilliant. After this we went back into the aquariums where there was now only a few people and we go to go and see all the creatures close up without the crowds. I was surprised how much we had missed the first time. What an excellent day out and not bank breaking too. The entry fee into Seaworld is only R157 per person over...

I understand that they charge the prices they do to keep the animals fed and tanks clean, however, there are separate prices for everything. We tried to book for the water park and aquarium online but there was no combo price, only to find when we got there, there was (we weren't prepared to pay two separate prices as it becomes costly especially with multiple children) Google also said that because of the season, certain rides wouldn't be open (which isn't worth the money) and because of the mixed communication, my children didn't get to enjoy water park as we told them not to take their costumes. Suggestion, open the entire park for a valuable price and you'll probably make more money and get more tourists. The tour of the aquarium was alright, not worth the money for an average time period of 20 to 30 minutes. The fish are very well kept, the tanks were also clean. The dolphin's are absolutely beautiful and a pleasure to see how well their trainers interact with them. Its definitely a place to visit only once as it hasn't changed at all in 10 years. Nothing new or exciting to see...

uShaka is a beautiful big place to do alot of things, inreally think they did an outstanding job with the layout. The only thing I'd recommend is to improve on the seal show, it's was a little bit of a waist of time, they only have a short briefing then select soemone from the audience to meet a seal, and that's it show is over, I feel they can do a little more than a 5mint show, for me it was a waist the kids could hardly enjoy, the dolphin show was so amazing, got to give it tobthe staff that handles the dolphin show now that definitely worth to see, some areas where closed, and some restaurants are closed, so it's a little bit sad, I'd prefer to go early morning, as midday is extremely busy if you not someone for large groups of people. To view the marine life. They definitely are doing a great job and that you have an opportunity to meet the dolphins personally, but you would need to book ahead of time with them to personally have an experience with the dolphins. But the show you don't...

uShaka Sea World is an independent South African facility owned by SAAMBR, surprisingly well-run and nothing to do with SeaWorld US. The road there leads through a crumbling Durban, where the decay of former wealth is omnipresent. I parked with extra caution as we all know the stories about the Seafront. The aquarium itself is quite impressive. The ray feeding and the sharks were a particular highlight. At first, I thought it was a relic of apartheid, but it opened in 2004. I found the dolphin and seal shows superfluous, and so did my daughter. The aquariums, however, were convincing. It wasn't a soulless mass-produced product, but a lovingly designed facility with charm. So let´s give 5 out of 5 stars for experience and atmosphere, 3 out of 5 for animal welfare. My daughter was happy and the three hours were informative.
