Wahooz on the Promenade — Restaurant in Point

Meh at best. Didn't get greeted at the entrance. Had to stumble upon a waitress. We asked her of there are any tables available upstairs and she said yes. She then leads us upstairs and abandones us there - not a single available table in sight. We stumble back down to the ground floor. Another waitress comes up to us, hands us some menus and asks what we'd like to drink. Because, absolutely, everyone knows your menu off by heart, right? I ask her for 2 minutes so we can actually see what is on offer. 2 minutes later she returns and takes our drinks order. We ask for castle light draught, out of stock. Ok, bottle then, also out of stock. A couple items down the line we eventually get tired of playing 20 questions and ask her to just give us the shortlist of what is actually available so we can pick from those. Had an absolutely shocking experience at this restaurant on Wednesday. First tried ordering crumbed mushrooms from the menu, was then told they were out of stock. Then order a kola tonic with sprite zero and there was no stock of sprite zero either. The waitress then brought me a passion fruit instead of kola tonic and when I asked her to correct this, she told me there was no kola tonic either. My husband ordered a cappuccino with sweetener and when the cappuccino arrived he was told there is no sweetener. There were also no milk/dairy alternatives for me to have a cappuccino as I am lactose intolerant. The calamari we ordered was extremely tough and not fresh at all! Im afraid this place was not a good experience at all. The service is pathetic with too many people working here busy dancing and making noise instead of working. The food was offal at best to describe my Chicken strips.

I just can't believe that any reasonable owner or manager of this place could allow for this much neglect.

The place is large and spaceous but no one cares about basics, how to do customer service, how to greet and assist customers get their right choice. There's no evidence of a work ethic but people just walking on past. No training of staff is happening here.
