Ocean Basket uShaka Island — Restaurant in Point

I always enjoy my visit to this place... Ocean Basket at uShaka is one of my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE restaurants by far... Great Vibe, The food is spectacularly delicious and the service I get is immaculate ( @Steven )... They also make killer garlic mussels and the sauce is to die for, even order it separately... it's worth the try... Note to OB Management: some of us really enjoyed the Garlic Rolls you guys used to offer... Please bring that back... it was amazing... Oh and the smoking section was also such an awesome chill zone, I hate having to walk to a designated smoking section outside the restaurant to have a smoke, especially if I am not finished ordering or after the first course... we smokers are funny like that... It can be a deal breaker, but Thank you ALL for maintaining your standards and retaining customers like me...(sssshhhh... not...

The place was not clean and old. I booked for 2 days with my daughter. Upon booking you are told that breakfast is free,yet it is charged at R120 per person. I didn't eat their food as there are a lot of cockroaches in the rooms, what more about the kitchen. We were given only one towel with no toilet paper in the toilet. We were told that they don't have more as they are fully booked. Shower door not closing complete thus water spillage which makes the place wet, predisposing to slip and falls. Electric cords dangling over the door leading to bathroom,not safe. Another plug is exposed and not working. We shared a corridor with a noisy couple. Unfortunately, we were only seated. We were given menus but no waiter came to us, apparently it's difficult to see, 6 people trying to order. We weren't even served the bread buns with the condiments (crushed chilli, garlic, tartar sauce) in the half hour wait. Spoke to the 2 waiters, a manager and some random employee who kept promising the bread buns but to no avail. He also kept asking what did we order?? After a long enough wait, we were told that we can't have the advertised promo, because they don't have burger buns 🤔. This was not mentioned to us when we were ordering.
