I'm a usual fan of Centre court, for a fine dining experience, but this specific one has no standard, a basic Sunday lunch was served, the only Roast available was a pork leg which was hidden behind a counter and you had to call one of the cooks to cut it and serve it to you.
The lasagne tasted as if the mince was about to go bad before they cooked it, there was no aircon, just an old rusted fan with spider webs on, it was extremely hot and made my kids feel miserable, as we approached the restaurants the kitchen staff were all sitting outside on the floor eating plates of food which looked very unprofessional, at the desert section was a fruit salad which had plenty of fruit flies in.
It suppose to honestly be a family restaurant but in the blistering heat my family had to listen to vulgar hip hop and house music while eating, when it's time to pay you have to pay for your drinks seperately as the bar is owned by somebody else, this is not a restaurant but more of a tavern standard and I would not recommend it to anybody looking for a great family dining experience.
Rather go to pavilion as this branch messes up the standard of the...
Read moreAbsolutely awful experience. After spending a lovely and expensive day at Ushaka marine world, my fiance and i thought that we'd grab a bite to eat. Upon arrival at Centre Court, the staff were so busy having their own conversation, IN FRONT OF US, that we stood there like lost souls for about two minutes waiting to be helped and seated. When we were finally helped, we were told there was a buffet available for R189 per person. We accepted and ordered some soft drinks for the table, which arrived warm and flat. Moving on to the food: the salads had flies buzzing around them, the pizza bread was stale and cold, majority of the food looked as if it were already a day old, majority of the food was cold, and vegetables were under-cooked....and that is not all. My fiance was served a piece of CARTILAGE from the "ribs" available. Cartilage with a weird sauce on it was passed as a piece of rib. The deserts were no saving grace. The cakes were stale and uncovered, the malva pudding was not made correctly and was gluggly and strange...the list goes on and on. And for R300+. So disappointing and really put a spoiler...
Read moreDecided to try the R99 Buffet on Saturday night at Ushaka. My gosh i wouldn't even go there again!
Starters was like a bread that was so hard like a biscuit. The Desert was something i didn't even know what what that was. As for the main meals - There were very limited.
Mac and cheese and Carrot pasta which was supposed to be Vegetarian pasta. The Roasted Butternut was so burnt and the Baby potatoes were a little undercooked.
There was Chicken curry, Rice and pap as well as salads. No roasted lamb or beef just Roasted Chicken. When i had asked for a glass of ice water it arrived but i looked at the glass and i was horrified. It was still dirty from the someone else's previous use. That was when i told my fiance that this was our queue to leave as that was the most disgusting site that evening.
When i advised the waiter, he just turned and walked away. That customer service was absolutely Pathetic. The seem to have a don't care attitude because the bill needs to be paid BEFORE we sit to eat.
I am very dissatisfied and will never go there again! This Buffet doesnt even...
