Fairytale : there's a loving couple but one day the husband went fishing and died. The wife didn't know if he was alive or dead - he was missing. So she kept praying every day. The Dragon's Palace underneath the ocean heard her prayers and sent a blue snake to her to bring her down to Dragon's Palace to let her see her husband one last time. The Dragon's Palace isn't a place for the living so the blue snake took her back up. She then started spreading the story. Why it's called Cheongsapo. Snake in Chinese character and sand is the same. Koreans don't like the word “snake” so instead called it Blue Sand Port.
