동해횟집 — Restaurant in Busan

We stopped by this restaurant because it was conveniently located near the city tour bus stop. Given its prime location right in front of Songdo Beach, I had high expectations. However, when we entered, the place was completely empty.

We initially wanted to order both 회덮밥 and 도다리 쑥국, but the waitress informed us that 도다리 쑥국 was only available for two people. Remembering the amazing 도다리 쑥국 we had in 욕지도, we decided to order it for two.

Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. There was no sense of service or hospitality, and while the food looked good, it didn’t live up to our expectations. The 쑥 wasn’t as fresh, and the 도다리 wasn’t as flavorful as what we had in 욕지도. The 간장게장 also appeared promising, but after the meal, we both ended up with stomachaches.

I don't understand how a seafood place near the ocean can be so bad. Soups that were ordered came with barely any fish, and the fish that came with tasted frozen. All side dishes were bland, flavorless. As a Korean who has frequented many Korean restaurants in my time this is not the place....
