Bongwonsa Temple — Attraction in Seoul

If you want to visit traditional Korean temple but don't have time to go out of Seoul, Bongwonsa Temple would be a great choice. Recommend this place for those who think like that.

As you can see from its name, this place is the headquarters of the Taego sect, which isn’t the most popular Buddhist sect in Korea. I’m not too familiar with that particular sect of Buddhism ☸️ and how it’s different from other groups, but university students of Shinchon sometimes come to Bongwon temple for a walk.

It’s not exactly in a deep forest 🌳 or anything like the typical Buddhist temple, but it’s still a nice recluse from one of the most urbanized areas...
