What an interesting experience!

I’m very big on scents, so when I first saw this on Instagram, it was a MUST DO for me.

First, they ask you to fill in a form to check on the scents you relate with the memory of the photo, and then they bring you into the room to check your brain activity according to what scents is stimulated by the memory. TIP: Focus on the memory to get a better result!!! I was sadly a little bit distracted 😭

Nevertheless, I think my scent still came out smelling like my memory, which made the whole thing really fascinating. I would honestly love to come here again with a different memory (and being more focused!!!!!!) to see if I’ll get something different!

(P.S. I appreciated that even though they do take your preferences into account, the aim isn’t to make a scent you like, but to make a scent that evokes the memory that you have, which I feel is a very sincere way of approaching smells and respecting our memories. Highly...

Great place for your DIY perfume! Instead of you picking your own preference, they checked your sensory by placing bandana that connected to their compiter, hand you the scents samples and when you inhale, you keep looking at the picture that you sent over during registration as the base concept of your perfume.

It's a very unique concept and I never thought that the scent that I hate is the one that my brain loves (it reacted a lot 😂). After the scent sampling, they give out our result and ask us to get the base of the scent and fill the bottle up. There's a list of it in your result sheets. After filling up, I think they will fill the rest with the alcohol and it's done! I ended up upgrading my original one (+KRW 10,000) & made extra one (base KRW 30,000 + UPGRADE KRW 10,000) is for myself 😍 YAY. Total mine is KRW 85,000 ALL IN

I’m still blown away by what Retee Seoulsup is doing. This isn’t just a perfume store—it’s an experience. They’re making custom cologne from a single picture using brain scan tech to figure out what you personally vibe with scent-wise. Wild, right?

The whole process felt like stepping into sci-fi. I uploaded a photo (you can use anything—your favorite memory, aesthetic, even your pet) and they ran it through their system. Then they scanned brain responses to scent families (don’t worry, it’s non-invasive) and used all that data to craft a fragrance that felt like me—but better.

The space is beautifully designed, very modern and calming. Staff were super friendly, explained everything in English and Korean, and treated the whole thing like an art project. You can tell they care.
