TAMBURINS Flagship Store Sinsa — Attraction in Seoul

During our visit to the Gentle Monster flagship store in Dosan, we came across a cosmetic brand housed within the same building. Intrigued by this, we learned of another location nearby and decided to explore it. Upon arrival, we noticed a line forming outside the store to take a picture with a mural of the globally renowned Korean singer and rapper Jennie Kim.

This store offers Tamburins hand lotion and other cosmetics with trendy scents. We had the opportunity to purchase some colognes, which we found delightful. The staff, who spoke English fluently, provided excellent guidance to help us find the perfect combination of scents. Her extensive product knowledge and warm approach impressed us, something that stood out from our experiences at other shops. The purchasing process was efficient, and we were pleasantly surprised by the instant tax refund, which added to our positive shopping experience.

this store has one of the most pleasant and comfortable aesthetics in seoul. it’s pretty bizarre with a horse in there but everything else is great. the girls who helped me were really nice (they’re super petite with bangs…forgot to ask for their names) and they were really patient as well. yerim/yebin helped me with the tax refund process and helped to run the process through with me, though I wish Tamburins would’ve just done the auto refund on the spot.

also, another point for improvement would be having a plastic outer bag to prevent snow/rain from soaking the paper bag. my shopping bag broke twice.

their products aren’t the cheapest (think Jo Malone/Diptyque level) but their scents are really pleasant (though not as long lasting as I hope they are - they’re all EDT). They smell similar to big brands (think Le Labo / Tom Ford). All in all, go there during the off-peak hours (like 3pm and before 5.30pm) and tourists can get tax refund beyond...

worst customer service, i am never going buy from Tamburins again and i strongly advise others to not give this shop any of your patronage.

they seem unhappy to serve you, i only asked for the price and when i discovered she said the wrong thing, she still insisted she was correct. And even seemed annoyed that i was asking again.

when i went to pay, the counter lady drop my stuff and then threw all my things inside the bag without saying sorry or anything.

i understand that the shop is crowded and there's many customers, so i dont expect them to smile all the time, but the least they could do was have basic customer service, of taking care of the stuff you are buying, or having some semblance of human decency.

by the way, the smell doesn't even last. so dont bother buying this overpriced perfume. just buy...
