We had a lovely day down at the beach. This is a fairly quiet beach, so great if you want to get away from the crowds. Free parking just up the road and the path down is easy. There are free parasols which is great but no sunbeds. This is a lava rock sand/pebble beach, so recommend water shoes or sandals. The sea was very rough when we visited which apparently is unusual for that area but meant no swimming, it was still great to watch. One down side is we came across a lot of cigarette buds - why can't people look after the environment? Especially considering there are bins near by. There is a shower and amazing restaurants right on the beach. Highly...

The small beach area is surrounded by cliffs, its a small beach area with very dark sand. There were some sunbeds available and tables for drinks but I couldn't see anywhere to purchase drinks unless these are only available in the more peak season. The sea looked rough in this area and there seemed to be rocks in the water in some of the areas of this beach but I didn't go in so I couldn't be sure. I think it would be a good beach for sunbathing but I wouldn't feel comfortable going into the sea with the protruding rocks. There are no sandy beaches nearby as an alternative unless you travel nearer to...

Quiet beach resort with fine black sand. The are sunbeds for hire. We have eaten at the Ajabo restaurant and choose from their steak display which was ok. Can remember exactly what the food experience was like, as there was the fight to keep the flies away from our food as is was sort of open space . If u were passing by and needed the toilet there was a .50 cent fee. Not to be put off, the coastal walk is worth doing. The pathways are wheel friendly with a portion of gravel pathway from this beach up to the banana plantation area then it is smooth pathways for as far as...

Small little quiet beach with black sand and quite a lot of rocks. The path to the beach is a dirt road and rocky. The surroundings are mainly palm trees and lots of rocks that seemed they remained from a building site. We went there at sunraise and although you don't see the sun the sky view was still beautiful from there. Beach was relatively clean and had a few umbrellas. There is a beach bar where you can enjoy a drink. You can also watch the ocean and take nice pictures from the little quay. You can go up the hill, and the view from there is even better.

Playa de Ajabo. Lovely calm beach has recently been made suitable for swimming with a black sand. Small beach is surrounded by gardens and has sun loungers and parasols for hire, as well as showers, a refreshments stand, toilets and changing rooms. There are sport across the beach, pedestrianised access, steps, ramps, benches and waste bins. This calm corner has gentle waves most of the year round. Free parking. If you fancy a walk, you will find a number of bars and restaurants near the beach.
