El Delfín — Restaurant in Adeje

We visited here 2 years ago and were not blown away by it then but decided to go back and give it a 2nd chance as in 2 years a lot can alter.....plus as well it's got a great view! We ate early approx 6.30 in the evening so managed to get a table before everyone else started to turn up(ideally you need to book to secure a sea view) We decided to have a couple of beers whilst looking at the menu and in the end decided on having chicken bernaise and a chicken in a mushroom sauce.each main is accompanied by mixed veg,chips and also a baked potato which we found to be a bit excessive there would of been enough with just one of the potato choices rather than the 2. The meal was okay however the chicken was a little on the tough side . What did let the meal down was the service of the waiters they are just too fast at what they do and as soon as the bell rings to let them know another meal is ready they are off serving somebody else, which is great but they never come back to see if you want more drinks ,desserts or anything else. As soon as your main course is served you are on your own and to try and catch their eye to ask for so etching else is virtually impossible especially if you are sat round a corner out of sight of their main path back to the bar or when being summoned by the bell! One couple near us had virtually finished their main meal before they could pin down a waiter to ask if they could have the table wine bringing out from the bar that they had ordered to have with their main course. We had the same problem trying to order a dessert which took over half an hour to gain a waiters attention. All in all the place has a great view but it needs more attentive waiters or at least waiter that look up and around to see if anyone needs anything! They could do with a few lessons from the girls that serve at The Italian Corner as they have it down...

What a cracking find this place was. Lovely views, superb food and really friendly staff. We popped in about 8PM and it was already really busy but they found us a table really quickly and the drinks and food also arrived very fast, considering how full the place was. Views over the bay were great and it was so nice having the sound of the sea as the background to dinner. Would recommend booking if you really want a sea view as those tables are limited. I had the veal and it was not only tasty but also huge! My partner had Salmon Delfin and she said the Salmon was cooked superbly and the lemon and garlic Delpin sauce was really tasty. I was fancying dessert but the portion of Veal was so big I could barely finish my beer let alone think about some cake....... We were both expecting quite small potions, due to the location and well priced menu but we were proven very, very wrong. The only down side was this place did feel quite warm even with all the fans going. But that is probably to be expected when you have all those windows facing the sun and the views all day. I would not let that put me off and I would definitely be calling in again, but I would book a table to make sure next time. All in it was about 45 euros for the 2 of us and we're both very, very satisfied with the venue, the service...

One stunning place! Don’t even know where to start! Find out about it from their sign outside, where they invite you to have a meal and a drink with the view! Well, YES! That’s exactly what you get but also, very friendly staff, delicious food and a fantastic service! While we decided on the menu options (menu in all the languages) they prepared for us little crispy bread rolls, served hot with garlic butter and plain butter… yum yum yum! The food then started to come…. Omg… the platings and the taste are simply a combo to fell in love with it! From starters, main course to desserts, everything was high quality and super tasty!!! Portions are so generous and you also have the option to take some home if you can’t finish it.
