Cala Comtesa — Attraction in undefined

We arrived yesterday at 11:20 with a rental car and parked near the stairs, next to the ticket machine. As we went to buy a ticket, a man approached us, pretending he didn’t know how to use the machine. He stayed there for quite a while, even after we had already bought our ticket. He was with a woman who kept getting in and out of their car.

While we were getting our ticket, he came closer to ask how long we would be parking. Afterwards, we went to the trunk, changed, and walked to the beach. It seemed like he was watching to see where we left our belongings..

When we returned after our ticket expired, we found the driver’s window smashed and all the luggage from the trunk stolen. Including our passports. The police later told us this is a high-risk area for theft – and unfortunately, we learned it the hard way. We suspect the man we saw earlier, although he didn’t seem suspicious at first.

The beach itself is nice, but there are no cameras on the street. If something happens, you’re completely on your own. Luckily, we had full insurance for the car. My advice if you come by car: never leave...

We were aiming for Illetas beach but found this little cove by mistake. Cosy little beach with beautiful clear waters. Only downside was it got shady quite early with the clocks going back so didn’t really stay long. Warning about the restaurant above, quite pricey for sub standard food. I must have jinxed it as I was saying at least we haven’t had bad food so far this holiday till we ate here of course! However we discovered they do a take away menu with baguettes and sandwiches for the fraction of the price which I ordered from before we left as I was still hungry! Sea was so clean and was really beautiful even though it was co crowded. I would suggest you to come here early and stay couple of hours. Parking was not problem for us. We found a place but on peak hours and highest seasons...
