Where do I begin?
To call dining at Purobeach Illetas transcendent would be like calling Zeus a weather enthusiast — a laughable understatement. This wasn’t a meal. It was a revelation. The service? Divine. The staff? Angelic. The food? Fit for the gods. And as for the waiter — Kike — let’s just say if Apollo and a grass-fed Wagyu sirloin had a lovechild, it would be him.
But let me take you back. Our journey began not in bliss, but in chaos.
Midway through our ill-fated Transavia flight, a belligerent Germanic divorcee, fueled by equal parts vermouth and unresolved alimony, hijacked the aircraft. Twenty minutes of failed diplomacy ensued. Then — with the haunting tones of a didgeridoo and the wild twirl of a kaftan — she crash-landed us directly into the turquoise bay of Purobeach.
Wrecked and dazed, we clung to the flotsam of our former travel plans.
Enter Kike and Mika.
Like messianic titans rising from foam and fire, they pulled us from the wreckage — sandals glinting, jaws squared, eyes filled with calm fury. No sooner had they rescued us than the horizon blackened. A band of marauding pirates descended from the cliffs, thirsty for plunder and overpriced rosé.
What happened next can only be described as divine warfare.
Mika, wielding a bar tray like Athena’s shield, deflected cutlasses with supernatural grace. Kike, bare-chested and blazing with Mediterranean sunlight, fought off five brigands with nothing but a bottle of Ibizan hierbas and sheer magnetic presence.
When the last scoundrel fled, trembling, into the sea, we were ushered — reverently — to a table under white linen and whispering palms. What followed defied language: oysters kissed by Poseidon, prawns conjured from Neptune’s garden, and a filet so tender it nearly apologized for your childhood traumas.
We toasted not to survival, but ascension.
And as Kike poured the wine with the solemnity of a temple priest, we knew the truth: we had not just dined. We had been anointed.
Purobeach Illetas didn’t just save us. It...
Read moreFirst of all, I could write this review earlier, but with small kid around just forgot to do it. Last year our kid was 9 months old, and we spent lot of day at Puro Beach Illetas, and people there did their best to make us feel welcome and to meet lot of requirements family with small kid has and it’s amazing how they did their job. They even allowed us to have our pretty big dog staying with us near our cabana. People at restaurant great job to prepare food for our baby boy and rest of us enjoyed fantastic food from their menu. There are many people involved, and I know it’s team work to make us feel great and well served there, but as I don’t know their names, I will only mention few people I know for years and I communicate to more often than to others, but would like to let other people there that we appreciate a lot effort of everyone and thank you very much for that. First of all, thanks Yan, manager at Puro for handling our requests, for meeting our requirements and most of all for being great manager when there is some problem to solve. Problems are part of every business, but what makes some business great is the way they are handled and the respect they show to their customers. Thank you very much for understanding, for your energy, positive attitude and your professionalism. Also, thanks my friend Fernando Cocoz for always handling us great at the restaurant, you are one of the main reasons for coming back there with big smiles. Of course, thanks everyone else at the restaurant. We are happy to be back to Mallorca this year and to enjoy Puro as...
Read moreWell first of all this beach needs a good manager cause a nice place like this can’t have a bad service and no organization at all, lets start with the girl with dark and long hair really rude, with bad manners, can’t get why the hell they allow someone like her to work there, the italian guy rude as well, man it’s not anyone’s problem if you had a bad day or problems, you better stay at home, clients spend their money expecting a good service and that money allows you to have a sallary, no one cares about your problems, i would defintly fire him and that girl, i have a restaurant and i know exactly what i’m talking about, no way i would keep both of them work in my place. To be honest the waiter that goes around beds area was nice, the girls on the reception were nice too, Pablo was nice as well and tried to appologize and fix things, i think he would be a good manager for this place. I have never ever experienced something like that, i was really shocked about the whole situation. Ps. The food was normal , you can eat it everywhere nothing special. The dj with that sigarette, i wasn’t excited about that as well, damn it, the music was already terrible and watching her smoking while playing the music, i don’t know for me it’s not a professional thing to do. A beach almost empty i can get why, i’d rather go on a free beach sleeping on the sand than paying...
