Wow! What a find. We dined at Bottega Bay on the last night of our trip and we definitely saved the best till last. Absolutely wonderful, couldn't find fault with anything. Derek was a very welcoming friendly host, the decor and location was perfect, the food was amazing - cooking your own steak on the hot stone was lots of fun and added a new dimension to the dining experience. We opted for the haggis bonbons and warm bread and olives to start then both had the ultimate fillet which was tender and well seasoned. Somehow found room for dessert - both the salted caramel cheesecake and hot chocolate fudge cake were to die for. Those who know me know I'm not backwards in coming forward, but this one has me confused.

The food here was lovely , my wife and I had steak, which cooks on a hot plate in front of you. you cook and eat to your liking. I had the Ribeye and my wife had the small fillet. We had a jug of sangria and a cheesecake to share for dessert 🍨. The owner was lovely and we were given a free shot at the end. So all in all its a 5* but on another day I would give a 4*.

For me, there is a few little things, sauces shouldn't come in sachet, and I felt the atmosphere was missing something .... I'm not sure what, but maybe it was the in your face we are Scottish, dont get me wrong i love the scotts, maybe blue isn't my colour but I can't work it out.
