We would give this review a 0 star if we could. Visited the water park today ( sat 7th June) after entry at 10.30 it was very quiet, we purchased a locker key from a young lad at the bar he didn’t give any instruction for the locker, the lockers were all old and some rusted mechanisms. I didn’t see the worn number 21 on our key so I put out bag in number 16 which I checked first the key worked in ( the same key worked in 3/4 other lockers also) when we went to take our bag out at lunch time it wasn’t in number 16 (which was locked when I left it) I asked the same guy where is my bag he took me to the managers office and explained it should have been in number 21 I said oh I didn’t realise because you didn’t tell me that. Another guest was given key 16 and found my bag there and gave the bag to him and he gave it to the manager. We purchased some drinks and when I opened my wallet it was empty! His face told us all we needed to know! The pretend look of shock was laughable! the manager came out and said it was impossible that i could open other lockers with key 21. That was quashed instantly when she was shocked to see that it did infact open other lockers!! We found the lady that handed the bag in and we instantly believe she didn’t look in the bag or take the money - she told my partner when the bar man walked off with our bag to the office he was looking through it. We asked him did you look in the bag he said no, funnily enough his grasp of the English language escaped him at this point. I told the manager there was €100 missing from my wallet and that we can call the police for them to look into this. She didn’t want to do this and gave us the €100 from the office and will claim it back on the insurance. After this issue was settled the say guy was overly apologetic and gave my 4yr old a free ice cream, weird behaviour from someone with a very guilty conscious. The whole visit was just tainted so we decide to leave shortly after this. Having untrustworthy staff working for you must be horrible I feel for the manager because she was very nice and did give us the stolen money back. But I would honestly urge her to install at least one cctv camera because someone in her team is a thief. She will know the staff member in question and I’m sure she will ask her own questions. Ps the lockers need updating as a matter of urgency!! Sufficed to say we will never visit this park again!! And for others to keep an eye on their belongings and cash! The water park experience was ruined for my 4yr old who was soo excited for this all because of the greedy selfish actions of some dishonest individual that prays on families out with their children.
To add to this review I emailed my complaint to the main office for the water park on Saturday 7th June. No One at responded at all because they obviously do not care a customer has been a victim of theft by one of their employees. Seems about right from this poorly...
Read moreSpent half a day here with my partner and 3 boys. We really enjoyed ourselves. Very expensive if you go before 14:30. 20 euros each for adults and 12 euros each for kids, age 3 and under are free. If you go at 14:30 the price drops to a more reasonable 14 euros for adults and 9 euros for kids, 55 euros total. Aqua rock closes at 18:00 so you will still get 3 & a half hours, which (believe me) is plenty of time. There are shops, cafe's and restaurants inside, but you might want to do what we did and take a picnic and your own drinks. You can hire sunbeds for €3:50 each, but there is some grassy areas that you can sit on aswell. There are 4 big slides for adults and bigger kids. 2 slides that don't need any rings to go down on and 2 that require inflatables. You just collect them at the bottom and carry them up with you. Practically no waiting to use the slides. Small queues of a few minutes. There is also a small kids area, with shallow pools and tiny slides as well as a bigger slide for kids who are not yet ready for the bigger ones. My kids are aged 6, 8 & 11 yrs and all of them went down the adult slides either on their own or with me on a double ring so nothing too daunting, Just good fun. There is also a small wave pool that activates every hour and is good fun. Apart from the price, the only downside was the over zealous lifeguards that blow their whistles for no reason at all. Finally be careful with the location. It is not clearly signed. We drove around looking for it for some time. At no point was it made clear to us that it is actually situated at the rear of the Mirinda Gardens hotel. I was told that some holiday companies offer free entry with their booking...
Read moreWe were welcomed with attitude by what seemed to be the owner/manager telling the kids 'get out, tickets!'. If you have children, you will probably know kids are always keen to get through the door first. As adults, we were two steps behind. The lady clearly requires a little more patience. Upon entry, we discovered there was a 3,50 charge per sunbed/lounger and 3,00 euros for a locker. When your a group of five who just paid 78,00 entrance fee an additional 20,50 is rather disheartening. We were given an option to lay out towels on the concrete floor or the grass, which was over grown (see picture). The website states the park is the biggest in Menorca, this is based on the square footage not on the rides etc. There are three pool areas, one is a baby pool. The four adult slides are small and slow. They insist kids go at the back, which doesn't make them feel very secure (our youngest two wouldn't ride due due to this). We were at the park for ten minutes at this point and were very disappointed. We requested our money back due to the short period of time we were there but was told in an extremely aggressive manner 'this is the biggest and best water park, no refund'. We decided to stick around for an hour not to feel so ripped off, but the Life guards were constantly whistling and telling the kids off (not just ours) for minor things. All in all we would strongly recommend you avoid this venue. There are much better ones out there, such as Sur Menorca and...
