We were initially drawn in by a friendly-looking staff member at the entrance, whose name, I believe, is Carlito. I'm not sure if he's the manager or the PR person, but from the very start there was an odd lack of warmth in his approach—perhaps because I asked for a high chair for my child, or maybe there just wasn’t a natural rapport.
While my entrecôte was quite good, my wife’s burrito was overwhelmingly filled with rice, which felt like a shortcut more than a balanced dish. Still, we ordered a fair amount and behaved as respectful, paying customers.
What truly left a bad taste, however, was the attitude we experienced throughout the evening. Carlito made a point of offering complimentary shots to nearly every table around us—even to some visibly young guests—yet skipped us entirely, despite making direct eye contact multiple times. The gesture felt deliberately dismissive.
We normally leave a generous tip wherever we go, but in this case, due to the passive-aggressive and juvenile behavior, we chose to pay the exact bill, with no rounding.
A restaurant experience is more than just food—it’s about how you're treated. Unfortunately, that part was seriously...
Read moreWe had high hopes for the meal here but were left very disappointed. Having booked a table for 9 people (including 3 babies) in advance the table was not set up on arrival and two tables were pushed together in a panic with a big pillar separating them both which wasn’t ideal. The manager did apologise but it then took 20 minutes to take our drinks order which was frustrating and another 10 minutes to take our food order. Service throughout was very poor, we were never asked for more drinks, the fajitas were served without plates to actually make them and we had to ask 6 times for plates to be brought out before they eventually were. Half the table was cleared and it was another 15 minutes before the other half was. We were never asked if we wanted dessert (even though the manager suggested we’d get free dessert for them messing up our table booking). Unsurprisingly the fastest service we received was when we asked for the bill which was brought straight out. The food itself was OK but nothing outstanding. Looking at other reviews it seems our experience isn’t the norm but it isn’t somewhere...
Read moreDO NOT GET SUCKED INTO THIS PLACE. You’re pulled in with smiley faces and sombreros but served below average, bland food by inattentive waiting staff. My girlfriend ordered chicken fajitas while me and my friend ordered pork and beef burritos. All of which were really bland without even a pinch of seasoning. To top it off, we order house red wine at €23/bottle and were overcharged to €35. When challenging - I called out the bland flavouring to two waiting staff and the ‘concierge’ guy bringing people in and my complaints were met with shrugged shoulders, avoidance, no apology and no interest in helping to resolve the situation.
At the end of the meal - because of the staff avoiding our table - I had to personally stand up and challenge the waiter to pay our bill.
Overall, we had a really poor, frustrating and disheartening experience. We all felt brainwashed by the hype.
There are MANY better (and cheaper, more authentic) restaurants on the marina - do yourself a favour and don’t set yourself up for disappointment by going to this place. You’ve...
