Sa Parrilla des Lago — Restaurant in Ciutadella

2022 Update. The food is on the pricy side. I had the entrecote (medium). Arrived cooled medium-rare, the meat was good quality, but the kitchen had put SO much salt on the flavour was all but gone. Wouldn't go back.

EDIT. With our first meal so good (see below), we decided to go back again... But our second visit couldn't have been further from our first. We ordered the exact same meal as it was so good first time around. Only this time the food was well below par. The ribs were fatty and not nearly as well cooked, the "waygu" burger was also not as good. A real shame as we were looking forward to a tasty meal. Our second visit left us very disappointed - and I'd now struggle to recommend...

(FIRST VISIT REVIEW) I'll admit this restaurant hasn't got the kerb appeal of others around the marina... But having just eaten there I was unexpectedly amazed! The tapas starters were tasty and good in size... But the best was in the main meals. We had ribs (excellent and super tasty - great portion size), waygu burger (I was gobsmacked as how tasty it was), Japanese Noodles (tasty, fresh and good sized). We even had pudding.... Banana split! YUM.

Unexpectly delicious! Staff were great. Drinks were good Total cost...

We ate here last night and will never eat here again. A party of 6 two had burgers, one had fish, no problems with their food. We order 3 sirloin steaks 2 medium one medium rare first steak was well done and cold also the accompanying fries, pepper and tomato cold. This was immediately sent back only to be bought back within 3 minutes at the same temperature again handed back to the waiter. Plate came back 5 minutes later, steak seared to a crisp, accompanying sides cold, steak was inedible by this stage I informed the waiter i didn't want it. Steak two was supposed to be medium came out medium rare with cold accompanied sides. Steak 3 medium rare was slightly seared and totally raw. This was returned waited almost 10 minutes for it to come back, still raw and by now cold accompanied sides. Told waiter again not edible. The evening was absolutely ruined by the standard of food and yes we did challenge the bill and negotiated a substantial reduction. After coming to Cala n Bosch for 25 years this was our first and most definitely the last time at...

Unfortunately, if I could, I'd have given a 0 for the service. We sat for 45 minutes without even our drinks after it took around 20 minutes for them to take the order. I could understand that when we first arrived, it was fairly busy, but then it emptied out, and we were still sat waiting. The table next to us arrived after us and were served their drinks and meals before us. We were a group of 5. Our children were so hungry I was tempted to get up and leave. Our food was fine when it finally arrived. When we recieved the bill, they charged us 3.50euro for a small amount of mayonnaise for my child's meal, which I find ridiculous, especially as the service was so poor. Also, after checking our bill, they'd added drinks we hadn't ordered or received. Shame as the restaurant is in a lovely spot but we will not...
