Since the four months I have been training here, I've come across a variety of things that in my opinion need to be taken care of. 1: Cockroaches. I haven't seen a lot, just a few and only in the early morning. However, I think t should be important to have a clean and sterile gym. 2: Flies. The bathrooms at the gym are infested with little flies and fly nests. When going to shower, be prepared for swirling little insects around you. Clearly, the shower cabins are not regularly cleaned and I do not see that real action is taken regarding the miserable little gross flies. 3: Airconditioning. It is of utmost importance that a properly functioning airconditioning is installed. A couple of weeks ago I almost quit my membership, because it wasn't doable to get a decent workout! Fortunately, my roommate who also trains at Synergym, told me that they had installed big fan turbines to keep the spaces normally climatized. But, here it comes: they took the turbines away in August! And it is commonly known that temperatures in August in Málaga can rise up to 40 degrees Celsius. I didn't know what to do up to that moment, for the only decent bit of airconditioning they have (internally) installed is the one at the front, beside the cross-trainers. So I went on the cross-trainer in the middle of my workout instead, to get some fresh air. In this way I was able to manage. However, there have been several occasions on which the aircon has been out of order! And when something doesn't work anymore here in Spain, you can wait for at least three days or maybe even a whole week to get it repaired. As for today, I was only able to be at the gym for half an hour. If I would be there any longer, for sure I would get some serious health problems. I have been sweating like an animal and I almost fainted. 4: Partly referring to the previous point is that when a training machine is out of order, you also can wait pretty long for it to be repaired. I can remember a machine that was out of order for about three weeks! Moreover, there is only ONE machine to train your abs. As we all know, training your core is one of the most important things to do when going to the gym. And even if you train these muscles manually, the results would still be a lot different and if you do not know how to execute the exercise, it could lead to serious fractures. There is just a machine for training your central core, but no other varieties to that, whereas the love handles need to be trained a lot as well. The gyms I have been into in Barcelona and Amsterdam had multiple machines to train the different muscles of your core. I can really see that, no matter how hard I train on that specific machine, my love handles take a lot more time to diminish and tighten. I really hope that the management will take my arguments into consideration and will take proper steps to improve their gym. For me it will be too late, because I will be leaving Spain, but hopefully it will take effect for the other people training at Synergym. I have found it hard to find a similar gym in the neighbourhood, so I was stuck with Synergym. Last but not least I must say that the personnel is overall friendly and open to any questions or requests you have. However, it is important to be in time at your work as well! Today a guy who works there, came in at 9 am, whereas most of his colleagues enter the building around 8:50 on a Sunday, to prepare everything, set up the machinery (AND the aircon!) and be in time to let the people in. Read moreVery very bad experience. I arrived to buy a day pass they advertise. There a touchscreen at the door, but it's terrible: not only I didn't manage to buy it, when the whole process failed I started from the home screen again to find all my data still filled in, with no option to clear them, so I was deleting it all manually.
Then I decided to buy it on my phone and I was successful, but the confirmation email didn't arrive. There was no one at the reception and they don't have any button to call someone to assist. So I waited 30 minutes for assistance! And I was saved by a club member who saw my desperation and asked if they should call someone for me.
Overall I wasted too much time for something that should have been a painless process. And the staff not being present is...

Les escribí al correo el mismo día que vi la retención porque OJO A ESTO: si quieres cancelar tu suscripción SOLO Y EXCLUSIVAMENTE te dejan el día de antes de la renovación (obviamente no hay que ser un lince para ver la técnica de venta y/o estafa y admitir que hay que estar muy aburrido o tener muy pocas cosas que hacer para estar pendiente de ello, la plataforma debería dejarme cancelar LA SUSCRIPCIÓN A MI NOMBRE QUE YO PAGO CUANDO A MI ME DE LA GANA QUE PARA ESO ES MÍA Y LA PAGO YO) Bueno sigo con la historia: les escribo un correo explicándoles mi caso y diciéndoles que por favor, me devuelvan el mes de septiembre ya que no podía estar en Málaga por trabajo (motivo de peso creo yo) ¿sabéis lo que me dijeron? Que era un error mío y no de ellos con lo que el mes se quedaba cobrado. Lo que es estudiar el caso y devolverte el dinero es una milonga para que dejes de ponerlos verdes, luego te dicen que te vayas a la playa que ellos SE QUEDAN TU DINERO. Podría seguir criticándolos por muchas más cuestiones de higiene, estado de las máquinas… etc Pero sinceramente lo que más me ha dolido es la poca empatía y mis 30 euritos, este es el último mes que me ven el pelo en estos gimnasios y por supuesto hablar bien no voy a hablar jamás. AHHHH! Y cuidado! Que hay foros que hablan de ellos y los ponen finos con el tema cancelaciones y luego igualmente siguen cobrando (no se si será cierto, pero visto lo visto yo no me fiaría mucho). Con esto y un bizcocho os saldría mejor tener a la gente contenta y devolverle su dinero. See you 😘😘😘
Como no me deja añadir otra reseña nueva, edito esta y sigo: Cuando yo intenté darme de baja, esto es lo que encontré en mi área de socios, en la opción dar de baja pone: no disponible (adjunto nuevas fotos de la página web) Hoy cuando me he metido, me he encontrado con que en el menú que hay a la izquierda, le han añadido un muñequito con un pequeña x, que te deja dar de baja en cualquier momento pero antes intenta colarte la excedencia por todos los medios a cada pantalla que avanzas para poder realizar la baja (adjunto foto del emoticono que han añadido en el menú de la izquierda para quien quiera hacerlo, que ahora sí pueda)...
