Dog park — Attraction in Madrid

Really great open and spacious dog park within Retiro Park. Sociability for both dogs and owners alike. There is even some agility equipment for the dogs to train. Beware though they tend to lock the park randomly if there is even the slightest chance of the smallest amount of adverse weather predicted. We have been asked to leave the the park on numerous occasions in bright sunshine and only a pleasant breeze as there is rain or wind forecast! Very good secured park where dogs are free to run around and make new friends. The first two times our dog didn't enjoy himself as he is a bit shy and the dogs were very playful, but a bit big for him. This time after an initial hesitation and need for persuasion, he ended up playing with lots of small and very large dogs and I struggled to convince him play time was over. The park is very clean, with owners picking up after their dogs and bags available at the bottom of the park....

We have been coming here for couple of times. The place is really big, the dogs has a lot of things to do. They're couple of water fountain for them. Which I find really great because in some dog park there is only one fountain sometimes it makes dog more territorial.
