The first noticeable thing is how everything in the restaurant has the face of the chef. And I get it, it's also a TV personality, but seeing him in every wall, being a picture or a drawing, in the plates, in the service's clothing, and even in the small sweets envelope ends up being, at least, odd. Now to the food, provolone cheese entrance was very tasty, just plain grilled cheese with some season, on spot. I ordered the ravioli filled with bufala mozzarella and spinach with a white sauce and a sweet component to it with raisins and an Italian type of cookie. It was interesting, I knew I was in for something not traditional and that's what I got. My partner went the opposite direction, plain and straight forward cacio e pepe spaghetti, probably one of the simplest and most accurate way of testing an Italian restaurant. And sadly it was salty to the point of almost uneatable. She ended up asking me for some of the sweet sauce on my plate to try to balance out the saltiness. It's peculiar, since the cacio of the dish usually is all the salt it needs, plus maybe the salt in the boiling water. Don Giovanni it's not amazingly expensive, but for 20 euros dishes it's lacking simple details, such as trying the seasoning before sending to the table. The place was fully crowded, that's why even with service trying to be nice and quick, we waited 20 minutes for a check I had to request 3 times. I'm pretty sure on a quieter day things might be different and better. Well, all except the amount of pictures of the chef...

Y si pretendes meter a 3 hombres ahí, no entran.

The restaurant obviously had its good days, but today it’s sadly just another over priced, fame-drunk establishment. We ordered the famous black truffle pizza, which came with smoked mozzarella which destroyed the taste of truffles (it’s beyond my comprehension how a chef known for his love for truffle chose to mix it with an ingredient which crosses the other one out) and well... the photos posted on google of how the pizza is served is VERY far from reality... also, the black truffle didn’t come fresh (you can see on the photo) and just seemed to be one of the chemically treated imitations imported from China. The rest of the dishes were beyond average. The Ravioli for example came undercooked and cold (6 pieces for a price of 18€ that came frozen.....) Huge disappointment, I was really expecting a lot from this place. Would NOT recommend.

Never did I know that one of the best Italian Restaurants is just around the corner. After reading multiple reviews, booked a table in advance with a few clients for lunch. We were late, so called in to ensure that the table is still reserved. The staff was very understanding. They have valet parking which makes it really a life saver. The menu is one word - extensive. It took me 15 min to decide what to eat. The staff helped us out in deciding. An even more extensive selection of wines. The food came quick and was of fantastic quality and presentation. A sumptuous, rustic and authentic Italian food experience. Must visit. Infact I was a repeat visitor the very next day with more clients.
