Madrid Central Mosque — Attraction in Madrid

This mosque is located in a strategic area in Madrid, however, it is only open during prayer times. Shouldn't a mosque be open at all times?

Although the mosque is a place for worship, it is also meant for traveling Muslims (Musafir) who are seeking a mosque to meet other Muslims, as well as a resting place before heading elsewhere.

We were travelling for leisure, so we were definitely in the mood to explore the area on foot. We walked about 2.4km from Nuevos Ministerio train station. Arrived just in time when the mosque is opened for Asar prayers.

If you want to make wudu or want to use toilet, go to first floor and change your shoes and take slippers provided and come down so things will be easy and clean.
