Hi, I recently visited your aquarium and, unfortunately, had a very disappointing experience. The way your venue is presented in advertisements gives the impression of a peaceful and engaging place for people who genuinely enjoy marine life. What we experienced was the complete opposite.
We were told that arriving early would help us avoid crowds, but when we got there, it was already packed—mostly with families and very young children. I'd estimate that around 70% of the visitors were kids, many of them screaming, crying, running around, and bumping into other guests. It was loud, chaotic, and extremely difficult to enjoy anything. The behavior of the children and lack of supervision from parents made the atmosphere stressful and unpleasant.
As someone who is genuinely passionate about aquariums and fishkeeping, I came to appreciate the marine life—not to feel like I was stuck in a chaotic playground. An aquarium should be a place of calm and wonder, not an amusement park for kids to run wild. I honestly believe there should be an age restriction—at least a minimum age —so that those who come to learn and enjoy the exhibits in peace can actually do so.
To make things worse, the Dome cinema experience was also ruined by constant noise from children throughout the film. On top of that, the 3D glasses I was given were broken, and the headset I received appeared to be used, with visible earwax still on it. That was incredibly unhygienic and unacceptable.
While the aquarium itself was well-maintained and the fish displays were beautiful, the overall visit was not good . I strongly urge you to reconsider how you manage guest experience—both in terms of crowd control.
...Your advertising should also be more honest about what visitors can actually expect. The amount of big noise , and "crowd problems" witch comes from the owner obviously want to earn as much money they can, by also sacrificing personal space to its customers in the process.
This was my first visit, and sadly, it will also be my last.

Read moreI have been to the Aquarium a few times over the years but on a recent trip to Majorca I wanted to take my youngest who had never been before.
After checking the forecast we saw that one day was expected to bring heavy rain. It seemed like the perfect day to be indoors. Unfortunately everyone else had the same idea (which I don't blame them).
When approaching the aquarium the queues on the road were quite long because the car parks were all full. We continued to wait and when we eventually arrived outside the entrance the queues of people outside were ridiculously long and to make matters worse the rain was absolutely torrential.
After waiting for half an hour in the car a space finally became available in the car park. We parked up and ran to the entrance trying not to get drenched. Luckily a large section of the queue was under cover and fair play to the staff at the aquarium as a woman was walking around asking if anyone who had booked in advance online for a specific time (we had booked for 12 o’clock) could go straight to the front of the queues and enter. Excellent management from the staff.
When we walked inside we were faced with hundreds of people which to be honest made it quite hard to view anything. Every tank had crowds huddled around with people pushing and shoving and it made the experience a little stressful. My daughter found it all overstimulating and asked to leave.
I can’t fault the staff for how they managed the pre booked visitors outside and I definitely can’t fault the attractions inside as there’s plenty to see. However I would suggest they review how many people they allow in at any one time. This would ensure everyone who has paid can walk around at their leisure without the pushing and shoving and would ake the overall experience a lot more enjoyable.
So this review is really based on their management and not the attractions inside. I would give the aquarium 5/5 for the exhibits but today I’m giving 3/5 due to what in my mind was a little bit of greed on...

Visiting Palma Aquarium was one of the absolute highlights of our trip to Palma de Mallorca! From the moment we stepped inside, we were completely captivated by the atmosphere, the design of the exhibits, and the sheer variety of marine life. It’s more than just an aquarium — it’s a full-on immersive experience that both adults and children will love.
The aquarium is beautifully laid out, with breathtaking tanks filled with colourful tropical fish, majestic rays, seahorses, jellyfish, and even sharks! The Big Blue tank, with its massive viewing window, was absolutely jaw-dropping — standing in front of it felt like being in a peaceful underwater cathedral.
We also really enjoyed the interactive areas for kids, especially the touch pool where our children could safely explore and learn about starfish and sea cucumbers with the guidance of friendly staff. Everything is incredibly educational, but presented in such a fun and engaging way.
The outdoor jungle zone and Mediterranean garden were a fantastic surprise — filled with turtles, koi fish, and lush greenery. There’s even a pirate-themed play area that gave the kids time to run around while we enjoyed a moment to relax.
What really made the experience memorable was how well-maintained and clean everything was, and how much care clearly goes into the wellbeing of the animals. The staff were not only knowledgeable but also incredibly warm and passionate about marine conservation. We learned a lot about ocean preservation and how the aquarium is involved in rescue and rehabilitation programs, especially for sea turtles.
The cafeteria was also pleasant, with good options and a lovely seating area — perfect for a mid-visit break.
All in all, Palma Aquarium is a must-visit for families or anyone who loves nature and the sea. It’s both magical and meaningful. We left inspired, full of wonder, and already wanting to return. Truly a 5-star...
