The Indian House in Mallorca is a true gem for lovers of Indian cuisine. Our visit yesterday was simply outstanding—a culinary experience we won’t forget anytime soon.
The meal started with an unforgettable appetizer: crispy, handmade flame bread paired with a perfectly seasoned pea cream. Each flavor was meticulously balanced, creating a harmonious beginning to our dining experience. The main course was nothing short of a masterpiece—exquisitely spiced and full of rich aromas. Served at an ideal warm temperature, every bite was a delight. The refreshing mango lassi complemented the meal perfectly, rounding out the flavors beautifully.
The sauces served with the appetizer were another highlight. Each one was an explosion of taste, leaving us absolutely mesmerized. Even today, we’re still reminiscing about the diverse and vibrant flavors we enjoyed.
As we savored this exceptional meal, we couldn’t help but reflect: if someone like Donald Trump had ever experienced the complexity and sophistication of Indian cuisine, he might have thought twice before resorting to clichéd comments about “white houses that smell like curry.” Indian cuisine is so much more than stereotypes—it’s a celebration of spices that not only awaken the palate but also energize the body and mind.
Our conclusion: Indian house is a must-visit whenever we’re in Mallorca. This restaurant didn’t just satisfy our taste buds; it left a lasting impression. Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates authentic, diverse...
Read moreThere are very few places that tick almost all my checkboxes when it comes to a restaurant.
This place is definitely one of them. The waitresses and waiter speak (like many indians) very good english, they are respectful and very kind.
We ordered our food and the waitress noted every detail (spicy not spicy, which they kinda messed up, I’ll talk about it in the negatives), but otherwise, our order was spot on. And YES!!! they have drinks that are not only enough for a mosquito. Thankd god.
I mean the food, they way they plate it… Best Indian food I’ve ever eaten, hands down. And it came out really fast too.
There was a couple that left their table after ordering their food, because they supposedly waited for more than an hour, so the waitress argued with them a bit. I understand both sides, kind of unfortunate, as I said, our food came out surprisingly quick, so that was great.
So the only negative was that they kinda mixed up the spicyness, but it happens.
So overall, 10/10 recommend, if you like Indian food, 1000% try this place, and if you have to give them a second chance, do it.
Prices aren’t particularly low, but it’s totally worth it.
So again, thank you for the great...
Read moreTourist Trap – Dishonest Billing and Rude Staff
I had a deeply disappointing experience at India House Restaurant in Playa de Palma, Mallorca that I feel compelled to warn others about.
While the food was acceptable, the real issue was the dishonest billing and extremely rude staff behaviour.
I ordered basic items like coffee (€1.50 on the menu) and Indian masala tea (€2.00 on the menu) — but was charged €2.00 and €2.70 on the final bill. That’s not a small mistake — that’s intentional overcharging.
When I calmly pointed this out, the waiter became defensive and rude. Instead of correcting the error, he dismissed me, saying someone else would serve me. No apology, no explanation — just arrogance and disrespect.
This behaviour is unacceptable and feels like a clear attempt to exploit tourists. I’ve attached proof with menu and receipt photos showing the price difference.
Restaurants like this damage the reputation of Mallorca’s hospitality. If you value fairness, transparency, and basic respect,...
