The third place in the roller coaster ranking, after Shambala and Red Force.
The 55 euro Express Max Gold was worth it because when we arrived at 13:15 to the roller coaster the people who were already standing in the waiting area was already full to capacity and at the fast line, approximately 40 people, but we didn't wait at all because of this Gold ticket, which allows you to access the front row.
We went on 21 October 2022, on a Saturday. bought beside the ticket also the EXPRESS MAX for 50 euro/ person and for only €5 more we turn your Express Max into Express Max Gold, which allows you to access the front row on Shambhala, Furius Baco and Dragon Khan.
With the Express Max Gold ticket we managed to do it in one day the park's main attractions like : Shambhala, Furius Baco, Dragon Khan, Tutuki Splash, El Diablo, Stampida, Grand Canyon, Silver River Fume, skipping the line, so we didn't waste hours standing in line to these and on the other hand allowed us to have time to stand in line for approx. 2 hours at Hurakan Condor, there is no skip the line...
Read moreThis Bolliger & Mabillard sit-down looper is one of the most intense roller coasters I've ever ridden. With 8 inversions, it has the most inversions of any coaster B&M made and briefly held the world record for inversions when it was first built.
The sequence of elements feels like the extended cut of a pattern existing on many of their looping coasters: vertical loop, dive loop, zero-G roll, cobra roll (that's two inversions), a second vertical loop, then a pair of interlocking corkscrews. Many of B&M's rides (e.g. Kraken, Kumba, Magic Mountain's Scream, Six Flags New England's Batman: The Dark Knight) have a subset of this same sequence with some of the individual steps removed. Dragon Khan hits you with the full set. Every one of these inversions packs a lot of force, too--especially the corkscrews at the end and the transitions in and out of them.
I think it's actually a little too much for me--I came off dizzy and needing to sit down for a while. I could have done with 6 or 7...
Read moreNot the most thrilling ride at PortAventura, but very close to it. Ok, I like thrill rides, so I'm hard to impress, but the average person will either love this, or not dare to even go on it as it's too scary. If you like thrills and are 1.4m or taller, go for it. Though it is not the greatest thrill in my opinion, it is great fun, very enjoyable and worth going on. Lots of loops and twists and a decent speed, be prepared to come off a bit dizzy 😁. This is one of the Big Four at this theme park, so be prepared to wait in a queue for some time. Thankfully there is wifi to help pass the time on your smartphone...
