This is a truly great City and well worth a visit. We got here by the local commuter train from Hendaye in France. About an hour's journey. The City is compact and easy to get around. The old town has a number of old narrow streets with plenty of architectural interest. We ate in one of the many restaurants and enjoyed a good 3-course meal with wine for €18 each. We took the steep walk up to the old castle and gardens that offers great views over the city and bay. Then took a walk along the pristine beach - well worth it. If you think Spain is all about kiss-me-quick-costa-resorts then think again. This is a cultured and thoroughly modern place that merits a visit....

The two beatiful members of staff in your main office, went way beyond their duty to find accommodation for myself and others on The Camino. Their service and persistence in finding us a place to sleep, as every possible option in Sn Seb was taken. It was a bank holiday weekend, there was a major football game in town.
