This place is absolutely exceptional. You can’t go wrong with any of the options. Donostia is known to be expensive, so it’s best to shift your mindset before visiting—otherwise, everything will seem pricey.
Grilled Foie Gras (pintxo): This is a no-brainer. You must try it. Highly recommended. Mushroom Croquette (pintxo): The béchamel is flawless, the breading is perfect, and the flavor is outstanding. Highly recommended. Sea Urchin (pintxo): it’s like having a conversation with god.

They also serve foie gras over bread for a reasonable price if you’re into that!
Service is quick, friendly and very honest - we mistakenly paid with a bigger € note and the server pointed this out to us which was appreciated :)
Top tip though is to know what you want to order and be decisive, they are so busy and don’t have much time to spend on a single order so I’m sure they appreciate it when you tell them clearly what you want. They have menus in different languages including English and Japanese but a little Spanish still goes a long way, so...
