Guadalquivir Garden — Attraction in Seville

Really peaceful and beautiful place, you feel like stepping to the past.

Unfortunately it’s very much abandoned which is a shame, not just for this park but for all the area of expo 92’. I feel like the “heads” of Sevilla missed their opportunity for leaving it like this. I wish I could go back in time and see it in its whole glory. There’s still time to save the buildings, I think, it would cost a lot but I am sure it would bring a lot of people, tourists, to see it.

Despite all that I really enjoyed time in the park, you can spot ducks, fish and turtles in the ponds.

You're either going to love or hate this park. For me, I really enjoyed it as a witness to how nature, graffiti, and civic de-prioritisation all are impacting this once carefully manicured, now decaying park from Expo '92. Especially as you pass the fenced-in towers and former national pavilions, it's as though you're walking through the abandoned, time-trapped amusement parks near Chernobyl. And best of all, it's easy to have the entire expansive park to yourself, away from the hoards of tourists and tour groups...

El hermano del Jardín Americano. Este sin embargo es anterior, de la Expo. Recuerdo de nuevo cuando era un niño que iba mucho con mi padre y ya estaba descuidado, pero trataron de hacer un esfuerzo por arreglarlo ya que repararon los caminos, algunas fuentes de agua potable, así como mejoraron la limpieza(aunque ninguna de las fuentes ornamentales aun asi no funcionaban) . Pero hoy en día está bastante mal. La suciedad es increíble: cristales rotos de todo tipo, suelos de azulejos o cemento llenos de líquidos secos pegajosos que no han sido limpiados desde hace semanas, grafitis por todas las esculturas, fuentes de agua potable sin agua, azulejos del suelo arrancados, malas hierbas por muchos lugares y plantas del propio parque muy descuidadas. Lo único que han arreglado desde, de nuevo, hace más de un año ha sido la torre central del jardín de setos, y menos mal porque es un lugar mágico.
