First, the price. You may be surprised to find you aren’t buying an actual share of the park, only admission for the day. Nor does this price include access to a locker, or a chair to sit on once you’re in the park.

Similarly, emptying your wallet into Isla Magicas digital coffers in advance doesn’t excuse you from queuing. Queuing is, in fact, a central part of the experience that you’re paying for. On arrival at 11am, you’ll queue with everyone else who wants to be fleeced, advance tickets or no advance tickets. The queue runs all the way down the road in the searing Seville heat. Then, as the gates open, advance ticket holders are shepherded into a long snaking queue within that is at least in the blessed shade, wherein to scowl at the non-ticket holders, who join a much, much shorter queue to buy tickets at the booth. They pay extra for this, but that does nothing to cool the fury of those waiting in line.

Inside, there are no paper maps, and the management have decided to put up only a very few maps at sparse intervals, so everyone is mostly wandering around trying to find a toilet most of the time. Eventually, if you are lucky, you find your way to another queue. Having queued to enter the park, you may have thought your queuing time was over, but no. Now you must queue to get into Agua Magica, the water park within the theme park. And after 20+ minutes of queuing for that, you are treated to another queue if you want/need a locker to store your stuff.

Why would you want to store stuff? Well, presumably you have some stuff you want to keep dry. Not food, because the website clearly stated that you must not bring any food or drink other than water into the park, although that hasn’t deterred anyone else, you notice. But towels and backpacks must be stored, so you wait and finally get to a machine that sort-of works and it gives you a locker number and a six digit code to use the locker on a piece of paper. So you stash your stuff, but now you have a piece of paper with a six digit code you absolutely must remember if you ever want to see your stuff again. Where do you put that? Nowhere. That’s where.

Finally, you lay eyes on the slides and the kids love it and even though every ride involves another queue in the baking sun, they have an amazing time and you can even overlook the occasional waft of urine or the endless and confusing list of rules - weight rules, height rules, rules about wearing necklaces, earrings, what you can wear, what you can’t wear and more and more queuing. These rules are hard to follow and impossible to understand, enforced at random by squads of grumpy lifeguards.

One rule that they might do well to put in writing is about pissing. One woman actually pisses on the floor while you’re standing in one of the countless queues. Is this a normal thing? It seems to be here. The staff constantly empty buckets of water on to the stairs, presumably to sluice away all the piss. Nasty stagnant puddles of it sit at the bottom of some of the rides, so you can queue next to them.

After all the queuing, is it worth it? Well, actually, against seemingly impossible odds, we had a good time. The rides are good and the theming of the park is excellent. There’s very little litter and there’s plenty to do. The locker system is bizarre and they really need to do something about the stagnant smelly puddles in various places, but the kids absolutely loved every second.

Tips? Take your own food - everyone else does - and don’t forget your six digit...

Probably the worst theme park I’ve ever been to in Europe. Andalusia deserves a better amusement centre than this.

I took my partner here as a birthday treat, as this used to be a place she enjoyed visiting as a kid. We were looking forward to it for months.

In all honesty, I think we wanted to like this theme park (which looks like it hasn’t been renovated since the 90s) but it just didn’t want to like us back.

The park was nowhere near half capacity, yet the queues were long and endless stalls were completely closed. It also took ages to get from A to B.

As others have mentioned, there were plenty of stupid rules in place (yet smoking was permitted everywhere) and some basic safety rules that weren’t even enforced.

Some members of staff were lovely, whereas others were totally useless and outright rude.

The thing that really ruined our visit was after we had queued quietly and patiently for about an hour to get on the Jaguar in the sweltering heat 36 degree, with insanely noisy kids constantly pushing in left and right (the only proper roller coaster in the entire park, despite there being a traditional, wooden rollercoaster in practically every other theme park in the world, bar this one). After finally getting through to the concourse to board the ride (which took about ten minutes between each ride, given how slow the staff were in getting everyone on and off) I was told to get off the ride as the attendant couldn’t get my harness to stay in place (after only 2 attempts to do so). This was despite them taking ages to make sure everyone was strapped in comfortably in between rides (another attendant had the same issue with my partner’s harness yet actually knew how to do his job and she was able to stay on the ride).

All I was given was a half-hearted “we have a problem”, a shrug and gestures to get off the ride and told to head through the exit immediately. As I waved at my partner - who was already struggling with the heat seemed visibly shocked - to make she was okay, I was shouted at to leave as though I had done something wrong. No explanation, no apology. No attempt to accommodate me when we had been waiting ages to get on the ride because they were going so slow.

This park is an insult to Seville and to the reputation of Andalusia in general.

The likes of Liseberg in Sweden and Phantasialand in Germany are examples of some of the best theme parks in Europe.

This is among the worst. Don’t waste your time...

Im re-writting a follow up on my previous 5 start review. We visited on Sunday 25th may 2025 and while it was less busier than expected for a weekend we didnt enjoy as much as last year ! Many of the staff weren't very friendly /nice. Rides kept shutting without any warning or explication and just left us waiting in queues without any movement for long periods of time . Bathrooms/toilets were in even an even worse state than last year I dont know how long till Management realise they clearly all need replacing . It was also very hot it was around 38 degree! Many areas and rides without shade. Its states everywhere you cant take food or smoke but so many people took food and also took all the tables in the restaurants meaning people that actually bought food had no where to sit ! Also people smoking everywhere including the lines for the rides..no staff say anything its disgusting. Also many grown adults constantly jumping the queues/lines 🙄 . I dont think we will be rushing back and most likely try a different theme park next time !

We went on a Thursday, it wasn't mega busy but it was full of school trips but there were mainly older kids, with my kids being younger they were more interested in the little rides which there wasn't really any queues for we had a lovely day however it was only the 23rd of May2024 and it was very hot , would hate to think how hot it would be in summer ! The toilets /bathrooms all need replacing and the food we ate wasn't great but we didn't go expecting nice food. Vending machines everywhere with very reasonably...

Visiting at the end of July 2024. With a toddler and a 9yr old. Blazing sunshine. We had a great day. Not sure how! We were expecting loads of people and waiting... bit like Eurodisney. It started badly as we waited for our first ride, which was declared out of order after waiting 20 min. But after that our longest wait for a ride was maybe 10 minutes. And they fixed the first one so we got on that with zero waiting later on. It's big, not huge, but easily big enough for a full day. Then when we'd done enough of the Park, we went through to the waterpark to cool off in the pools, slide the slides and enjoy the obstacles for little people. Almost no English spoken or written anywhere. I mean they are in Spain, so yeah, speak Spanish. But it almost felt like an intentional attitude to dissuade foreign visitors. We felt a similar attitude from most but not all of Seville. And incidentally, the food was pretty good, and the toilets were excellent. I guess your mileage may vary. But I certainly saw nothing that corresponded to the few horror stories I read in other reviews. We were just amazed by the perfect amount of people. It was like the park had been designed for exactly the number of visitors on that day! It was lively with full rides and restaurants busy, but no waiting for a table a meal, a ride or a drink. Honestly we went to stop the 9yr old whining and I was expecting a lot of waiting and overheating baby. But what a pleasant surprise, fun for all the family as it turned out!
