Sveriges Fängelsemuseum — Attraction in Gävle kommun

Interesting indeed. Among the first of it's kind. Inmates are confined to a small room in isolation from each other. But treated ok despite being convinced. Not like in the old days when public punishment was norm. This is not a huge museum but it is worth the effort. I suppose it is a pale comparison to, let's say Alcatraz. But anyways. A refurbished Jail, that now has bright colours and lights in all places.. That used to be a darker place with less lighting. You can really take yourself back in time if you just imagine it a bit darker and unfriendlier.
