Ribersborgs Hundrastplats is one of our favorite spots. My female Shiba (19.5 months old) loves to run, though I have to keep her on a long leash because she tends to chase after rabbits. She enjoys swimming in the small lake and jumping into the sea during the summer. There’s even a little agility area, which is a lot of fun!
That said, I really wish part of the area had a fenced-in section for those of us who prefer more control. It can be uncomfortable when dogs are off-leash and their owners are far away or unable to recall them. After hearing from our vet that dog bites happen here almost weekly, it definitely makes you think twice.

However I would warn that it isn’t gated like most dog parks, so the dogs have the freedom to run into the carpark and further into the road (if they so wished). So for those with a scent hound, new dog or perhaps a dog that is just a little bit cheeky (like ours) it can be a little difficult to keep an eye on your dog as it is such a huge space, and any currently training their dog.
