Great ruins with lovely hour-long guided tour. Amazing how much of the original stonework remains from the mid-1500s. Spent 90 minutes here, very enjoyable. Cafe inside is excellent, plenty of rooms to find a seat and each room was a different temperature, which was fun. We were warm so we scouted the coolest castle room to enjoy our Cafe refreshments Huge bathroom is accessible, meaning setup for handicapped very nicely. There are two free museums on site as well as the ruins which charges small admission.

it is literally OK kind of place. nothing great. like city is very cool and calm. nice people but literally very dead kind of place. nothing special kind of castle. we walked down from railway station. and surprisingly we like walking to the street of city was more fun then visiting inside of castle. there was a cafeteria and having nice coffee, cakes and noodles options. other than we didn't enjoy much. but yes it was a good and pleasant experience travelling from stockholm to uppsala by train. in fact, there are nice church and other place where my kids enjoyed.

With mazing views of Uppsala and its Botanical Garden, the Uppsala Slott (Castle) retains much of its 1675 charm, despite the heavy fire of 1702 and long reconstruction. The courtyard features ramparts, slim guns, and a bust of King Gustav. Very popular with brides and grooms; you're likely to see some as you pass by, so be nice and let them get the best spots... yes, they take forever to wrap up their pics, but they are also very cute and happy.

A castle that was built in the 16th century. One of the best places to enjoy the northern lights in Uppsala. Inside the castle, the authority regularly organises different exhibitions. During the New Year's Eve celebration, you can see fireworks from both its front and back yards. Besides, it's one of the perfect places to have a bird's-eye view of Uppsala city. The Uppsala Art Museum is also located here. A perfect place for photoshoot as well.

Excellent free-to-enter art exhibition held in the main building. Then a pay-to-enter castle (semi ruin) with some history of the old castle. This is separate to the newer building. Nice exhibition space in the newer building and worth visiting if you enjoy art but the castle is a little disappointing with not much to see and some of it was closed off due to fire regulations when we visited.

Uppsala Slott was a great visiting spot. It sits up looking over the lower part of Uppsala and has some other great views of the city as well. The slott has some really great historical parts and information so if you have some time to walk around and look it’s worth your time. The slott also has a really cute cafe inside and a botanical garden.
