Upplands Museum is a museum located on the bank of Fyrisån, the river which runs through Uppsala. It is situated in a beautiful building and focuses on the history of the local area, but touches upon Swedish history as a whole within a global setting.
Although a small museum, admissions are free and there are various exhibitions throughout the year. At the time I visited, there was an exhibition about the King reigning for 50 years.

The people who work at the front desk are just amazing and so so friendly - one was extremely helpful regarding Nordic mitten designs !
